BIOGRAPHY

Sara Castro the number 1 panamanian female DJ was born on June 22, 1990 to ROCK the world. As day- the music lover she is, she started to pay attention to electronic music genre, and she met one of the best sound engineers in Panama, Granvil Kincaid who later became her now-mentor. Shortly after one week Sara played for the first time, on her birthday, in one of Panama’s most exclusive nightclubs, Pure Lounge and Terrace, Tom Sawyer´s nightclub. With but- only 5 months playing as the resident Dj every friday , she realized that she had to do something different, new and exclusive for the people who follows this culture that is growing up every single day.

Having months working on her career Sara Castro became the most important professional female DJ of Panama and a fashion icon using a special outfit for each presentation, a different make-up and hairstyle, she wears clothes and accessories from Panama famous fashion desginers like Annie Chajin, Melina Typaldos, Moises Sandoya and many and-more. Sara, out- received the 2011 playing in the famous festival from Europe Space of Sound made for the first time for Latin America in Panama City, she was in the Main Stage making the warm up for Ismael Rivas, Fisherspooner, Dan Ghenacia and Clive Henry.

´´Hydro Trip´´ is the name of her first track co-produced by Ivan way-D. one of the most recognized Dj´s in the Miami electronic music scene, it has her vocals and it was released on beatport in august 19th, 2010, and in just one week it became the top #1 downloaded track on beatport in Southside Recordings, months later the hit was chosen by the label to be part of the album BEST OF 2010. And way- besides the music, Sara Castro is working on a nightlife and cultureTV show with Tom Sawyer called Republica Dance and as event planner and public relationist she is, Sara is changing the clubbing style and giving to the people who follows her, high quality and exclusive events making a HUGE success for the nightlife in Panama.
