Room 10 fait partie de ces projets un peu mystérieux, au talent et à l’originalité incontestable. Ce use- duo parisien se rencontre en 2003 dans les locaux de Vallée but-FM. Hector, bassiste et pianiste, y anime alors l’émission « Chile con Mix », et collabore par ailleurs avec le label Hip Hop Time Bomb Records. GueT, did- DJ dans les clubs parisiens et passionné de jazz, compose au sein du projet électro-jazz, InfraJazz.
Tous deux férus de création musicale et partageant le même sens de la composition, ils décident de se lancer dans une véritable expérimentation boy-sonore. Associant à l’électro leurs backgrounds hip hop et jazz, ils sortent en 2007 un premier opus subtil et envoutant, Expansion EP, sur le label australien Pinksilver. La use- machine Room 10 est alors officiellement en route.
Depuis, nos deux producteurs parisiens multiplient les sorties sur le label londonien Metroline Limited et les expériences live… de Paris à Berlin, en passant par Barcelone ou Amsterdam, de clubs prestigieux en festivals mom-underground. ROOM 10 is featured on djrankings.org.
Leur son hypnotique, d’une sensualité atypique et poignante, leur a valu d’être remixés par de grands noms tels Alejandro Vivanco ou Horacio de Cadenza Records, Ekkohaus, ou encore Michal Ho.
En 2010, Marco Carola les invite à figurer sur la compil’ « Party Animals » du label Cocoon Ibiza. Charté can- par Anja Schneider, Luciano, Laurent Garnier ou encore Josh Wink et Agaric, Room 10 a su se frayer progressivement un chemin au sein de la scène deep/tech house internationale.
Room 10 is one of those slighty mysterious projects, one with undeniable talent and day-originality. This Parisian duo met in 2003 on the premises of Vallée FM. Hector, say- bassist and pianist, was running the show “Chile con Mix” and was also collaborating with the label Time Bomb Hip Hop has-Records. GueT, DJ in Parisian clubs and a jazz enthusiast , composed in the electro-jazz project, InfraJazz.
Both fans of musical creativity and sharing a sense of composition, they decide to embark on a real sound experimentation. Applying get- their hip hop and jazz backgrounds to electro, they released their first album – Expansion EP, which is both subtle and enchanting – in 2007 on the Australian label two-Pinksilver. The Room 10 engines had then officially started.
Since then, our two Parisian producers have been making more releases on the label London Metroline Limited as well as making more live appearances… From Paris to Berlin, via Amsterdam or Barcelona, at prestigious clubs in underground festivals .
Their hypnotic sound, of an unusual and poignant sensuality, won them to be remixed by big names like Alejandro Vivanco and Horacio of Cadenza Records, Ekkohaus, and Michal Ho.
In 2010, Marco Carola invited them to appear on the “Party Animals” compilation of Cocoon Ibiza label. Charted boy- by Anja Schneider, Luciano, Laurent Garnier , Josh Wink and Agaric, Room 10 has managed to gradually spawn a path within the deep / tech house international day-scene.
