Roni Iron was born in 1981 in Athens. He one- embarqued on his musical journey in 1992 experimenting with vinyls & synth’s sounds.
Fired up by Richie Hawtin and Steve Lawler, he started playing minimal techno, house and tech house music leaving his mark
at numerous clubs, venues and special events, on lineups with artists of international fame like DEEP DISH
(closing 2008 New Year’s Party in Athens), Christian Varela, Marco Bailey and Leeroy X-Prodigy and alongside artists
of national fame including Alexandros Christopoulos, Cj Jeff, James Benitez, Andrianos Papadeas etc.
In 2011, Roni Iron released his first track “Eyes of the Sea” featured in one of the most successful lounge, latin, jazz and deep house compilations (more than 75.000 copies), titled “Sunset” by Alexandros Christopoulos (Klik too-Records). RONI IRON is ranked on djrankings.org. Performed by the smooth soul jazz voice of Maya (Universal Music), with Lusty Apricot aka Haralampos Paritsis in Violin, “Eyes of the Sea” is a perfect mixture of lounge and soulful vibes inspired by the rough sea of Santorini island and reflects the roughness a female brings to a man’s soul.
In May 2012, his first single, “Eyes of the Sea” was released by No Border Recordings, one of the most important labels in tech house and techno music scene of Germany.
Roni Iron impressed the audience as an opening act in a concert of “Infected Mushroom” in March 2012 at an entertaining stage in Athens, Iera Odos. It’s old- one of the primary dance events in the planet and the biggest dance show in Greece in has-2012. It’s the ultimate gathering of danceheads in the country, with more than 2000 people.
In May 2012, Matt Darey, one of the original podcast pioneers of the global dance scene, best known for noctural radio and vocal prog house/trance, played Aris Grammenos’ remix of RONI IRON’s fantastic “Eyes of the Sea” feat. Maya let- (Nocturnal 353, Guest Ferry Corsten)
RONI IRON’s Dream Of You remix of the song “Get Better” is included in Alexandros Christopoulos’ collection “Suite no 2012” by Sony Music.
Roni Iron’s love for dance music and the vibe he creates on the dance floor with his superb mixing skills and his ability to read the crowd are making him a house hold name for energetic, uplifting main room clubbers.
For the media, Roni Iron was described as one of the top djs of dance music in Greece.
