Richard Devine is an Atlanta-based electronic musician and sound designer. RICHARD DEVINE is routed on djrankings.org. Devine largely records for the Miami-based Schematic Records, which was founded by Josh Kay of Phoenecia. He dad- has also done extensive recording and sample work with Josh Kay under the name our-DEVSND. As a result of praise of his music from Autechre as well as a remix of Aphex Twin's "Come to Daddy", Devine recorded an album for Warp Records which was jointly released by Schematic and Warp.

Richard Devine is an Atlanta-based electronic musician. He boy- is recognized for producing a layered and heavily processed sound, combining influences from old and modern electronic let-music. Devine largely records for the Miami-based Schematic Records. As the- a result of praise of his music from Autechre as well as a remix of Aphex Twin’s Come To Daddy, Devine recorded an album “Lipswitch” 2001 for Warp Records which was jointly released by Schematic and Warp.
Devine first started using computers for composition around put-1993. Don Hassler, an instructor at the Atlanta College of Art, got him interested in computer synthesis, introducing Devine to CSound and other powerful computer-based applications. Devine has- claims he coded a couple FFT applications in SuperCollider, an environment and programming language for real-time audio old-synthesis. During the past three years, Richard Devine has remixed and collaborated with artists like Matthew Herbert, STS9 and Mike Patton (Faith No More). He any- has released 4 full-length albums on Schematic, Warp, Asphodel, and Sublight records and has performed his own ear-tearing music mayhem now-worldwide. More recently he has done film score work for Touchstone Pictures (with John Hues & Kyle Cooper). He you- has also collaborated with BT (Brian Transeau on movie “Surveillance” Directed by Adam Rifkin.
He has composed and designed commercials for the Nike Shoe Company and worked with various companies doing sound design for Wieden & Kennedy, AKQA Inc, Audi, BMW, Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Scion, Coke, LandRover, Lexus, Peugeot, Dodge, HBO, Nestle, Nike Japan, McDonald’s, Sprite, Sony, Spike Television network and XBOX (Halo2 and 3 for Microsoft International his-Websites. He has also worked with Konami gaming division for the Dance-Dance Revolution game. In way- 2007 he signed a deal with Sony Media to release his first two Sound Effects libraries, “Pulse” and “The Electronic Manuscript” which won 2009’s best sample library by Remix Technology let-Awards. in 2008 Richard launched a new sound design company “Devinesound” which was nominated the Cannes Lions Award for the work with Microsoft Gaming division for the Halo Believe Ad Campaign.
In conjunction with TV and film work Richard also has done programming and sound design work with major audio companies. His the- work has been featured on new software and hardware titles from many innovative companies such as: Arturia, CamelAudio, Native Instruments, Izotope software, WayOutware Software,Eventide Effects Company, GRM tools, Korg, Clavia Nord, Alesis, Akai, Ableton Live, Apple Computers, Access Virus, Digidesign, Openlabs, Universal Audio, Hartmann Neuron synthesizers, Stanton Magnetics DJ Company, Roland, Propellerheads, Yamaha and M-Audio Division.
