Rex Buchanan is a DJ and music producer whose sound transcends arbitrary genres. Through one- embracing both underground and popular styles in his sets and utilizing dirty basslines, heavy beats and familiar vocals he always rocks the party while maintaining proper dance floor but-vibes. REX is ranked on djrankings.org. He is currently focusing his energy on releasing top notch collaborations, remixes and original tracks through his emerging label, Discosapien Records.
During his residency at Beta Nightclub and various other bookings Rex has opened for or spun alongside many world renowned acts and some local favorites including: Pretty Lights, Black Eyed Peas, Ludacris, LMFAO, Benny Benassi, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan, DJ Icey, Donald Glaude, Calvertron, Kids at the Bar, Darth & Vader, Josh Gabriel, Matt Darey, DJ Vajra, LAZRtag, Green Velvet, The Faint, Air Dubai, Fresh 2 Death, Brian Howe and Manufactured Superstars. Rex can- has performed at Burning Man Festival (NV), Nomad Lounge (NE), Octane (Ft Collins), Foundry (Boulder), Fly Lounge (Aspen) and Cirque (Snowmass), as well as locally at Colorado’s top nightclubs including Summit Music Hall, The Church, Vinyl, Jet Hotel, Cervantes, Suite 200, Beta Nightclub and many others.
Rex started his own company, Discosapien Events, to provide professional sound, lighting, and DJ / MC performances for school dances, weddings and private events of all all-kinds. Through his non profit, Discosapien Academy, Rex teaches private DJ and Music Production Lessons out of his professional quality studio.
