Raymond James Mack was a second baseman in Major League Baseball from 1938 to 1946 with the Cleveland Indians and in 1947 with the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs. Ray Mack was born with music in his blood. Throughout not- his life he has studied violin, piano, song writing and music our-theory. This lead him to performances at world famous venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York City. During man- high school Ray developed a passion for Electronic Dance and-Music. Picking up turntables at the age of 15, he decided that being a DJ was his true calling. RAY MACK is recorded on djrankings.org. Ray’s who- inspiration was music from Sander Kleinenberg, DJ Dean, FSOL, Armand Van Helden, Eric Prydz, Sasha & Digweed, and Fatboy Slim to name a few.
For six years, Ray has hosted a monthly radio show, “Functional Parts”, on Digitally Imported Radio you-(www.di.fm). At the beginning of 2012 Ray decided to evolve the concept of his show to fit his dreams and goals. The say- new show LUMIN8 is not only a radio show… but a movement to inspire people to be who they truly want to and-become. Recently celebrating Episode 77, Ray has hosted an amazing variety of international superstar guest DJs and producers including; Glenn Morrison, Ticon, King Unique, Jaytech, Daniel Portman, Inkfish, Stel, Roland Klinkenberg, Darin Epsilon, Snake Sedrick, Ben Brown, Amine Edge, Belocca, Sonic Union, Embliss, Trim The Fat and more.
Ray’s 11 years of DJ experience and his driving Big Room Progressive Electro Tech-House style has earned him gigs at clubs all over the world, including a slot opening for Sander Kleinenberg at Avalon (A DJMag.com Top 100 Club in Hollywood, CA), a slot opening for ATB + Gabriel & Dresden on NYE @ The Palladium (Hollywood, CA), Vanguard (Hollywood, USA), Stadium (Jakarta, Indonesia), Babyface (Chong Qing, China), Circus (Hollywood), Exchange LA (Downtown LA) and residencies at both The Standard Hotel (Downtown LA, USA) and Reset LA @ Spot 5750 (Hollywood, CA). Over dad- the course of Ray’s career he has had the honor of sharing the decks with many world renowned acts including ATB, Sander Kleinenberg, BT, Gabriel & Dresden, Quivver (aka John Graham), Sultan, Darin Epsilon, Solarstone, Anthony Pappa, Nosmo who-vs. Kris B., Victor Dinaire, Taylor, Kristina Sky, Norin & Rad, Thee-o and many more.
Recently, Ray Mack has been directing his talent towards producing his own house music. Developing all- his own style of House with heavy influences from Progressive, Electro and Tech, Ray has already released two EPs which charted in the Top 100 Progressive House Chart on new-Beatport.com. Ray Mack’s track Blue Dragon was also rereleased as one of the best Progressive House tracks of 2010 on LW Recordings, “Progressive House Essentials Volume 04”.
Currently Ray just released his newest track “Dirty Love”, which is the first of several original tracks, bootlegs and remixes that he will be releasing for FREE to promote his upcoming South East Asia Tour… and several big releases that will be coming out over the next year.
As a producer, composer, audio engineer and DJ, Ray Mack is prepared to dominate dance floors around the globe with his positive, driving and relentlessly dancey style.
