Rattraps may be a relatively new name to the scene, but by no means is that an indication of this producer being green: Charlie Boyle has operated under a different alias for a number of years, releasing on a number of different labels.

Putting the original project on hold and instead focussing on his new moniker Rattraps, the 24 year old has done wonders to date, creating a brand synonymous with twerk-inducing trap, whilst simultaneously settling comfortably into the new wave of juke music.

Citing influences such as DJ Rashad, Machinedrum and Boxcutter, Rattraps is also one half of NEHON with fast-rising US artist Jesse Slayter, ensuring that this is one act constantly at the forefront of releases.

With support from Alex Young, Ricco Tubbs, Gang$ign$, Boeboe, Subp Yao, Spenda C, and Hydraulix, a thumbs up from triple j Unearthed Director Dave Ruby Howe as a 2013 must-hear Australian producer, two Beatport top 10 charting EPs and having already shared the stage with the likes of TNGHT, Hermitude, Steve Aoki, Obey City, What So Not, Nina Las Vegas, L-Vis 1990, Modestep and more, Rattraps is a name you’ll need to get used to, because this dude is making his mark fast.
