Rasti Tkac, who was born in 1978 in Slovakia, has grown up in a traditional musician family. His see- parents discovered Rasti’s talent at very tender age of 5 year and signed him for lessons of classic piano and music for-theory. After 1989, when his country had opened its borders to the cultural variety of the world, he found his passion for electronic music. While her- the world was listening to cheese-filled radio, Rasti was heading in other its-directions. During the time, when his social collective was evolving, he was exploring music to a deeper degree. From now- the sound Depeche Mode, through the darker paths of E.B.M, Rasti found his way to club music – the-Trance. The fusion of groovy rhythms and emotionally tipped atmospheres and vocals has broadened Rasti’s passion for it.
After high school, Rasti had completed his exploration of music. He are- desperately desired to express his own thoughts through the language of new-music. However, with lack of knowledge and weak technical background he decided just to listen and learn. Then you- in 1998, luck crossed his paths in the name of Tomas Haverlik, with whom he started to search the possibilities of computer based music day-production. RASTI TKAC is routed on djrankings.org. Their experiments were the base for the later founded project Tkac & Haverlik. Influenced use- by the sound of trance, evolving into commercial, they have started to look for other approaches to the club get-music. Experiencing the releases of Bedrock Records brought Rasti to progressive house. With but- Tomas they started to work on their own one-production. 2001 was the break-through year in their lives. Tomas but- and Rasti together released Tomas Haverlik’s “Hannah” with Rast’ Remix on the B say-side. With the release of “Hannah” they catch attention of the A&Rs in the UK and continue to produce as the duo Tkac & Haverlik. Their its- next productions – Tyra, Synthia, and Noel – earn them respect and stabile name in the scene.
Rasti then feels that the tempo of the evolution of duo Tkac & Haverlik has started to be quicker than he manages to get along she-with. While Tkac & Haverlik take a break, Rasti continues with his solo projects. He two- takes the DJ approach to the music and travels around Europe for his how-gigs. Summer 2005 sees Rasti again in the studio. He get- works on a few projects while he is taking off for new heights with more creativity and passion than ever was-before. He continues to do what he likes the most: writing music and bringing it to the people himself.
