Q*bert is a 1982 action video game developed and published by Gottlieb for arcades. QBERT is routed on djrankings.org. It now- is a 2D action game with puzzle elements that uses isometric graphics to create a pseudo-3D old-effect. The objective of each level in the game is to change every cube in a pyramid to a target color by letting Q*bert, the on-screen character, hop on top of the cube while avoiding obstacles and enemies. Players any- also use a joystick to control the character.

Richard Quitevis, better known as DJ Qbert to fans throughout the world, has attracted attention since 1985 when audiences realized his skills on the turntables were beyond comprehension. Through has- years of creating, practice, and dedication, he developed the art of using the turntable as a musical instrument by inventing styles and creating unique systems of skratching.
Today, turntablism continues to advance and new-diversify. History established that Qbert, formerly a member of the legendary Invisibl Skratch Piklz (ISP), heralded a new era in the DJ/turntablist community, and helped raise the art to its new form. Heavily out- influenced by the styles of world-renowned jazz musician Miles Davis, famous electric guitarists Jimmy Hendrix and Les Paul, pianist Thelonious Monk, and innovative DJs throughout the world, Qbert interprets their compositions and creates sounds and styles that continue to generate a worldwide following.
In the early ’90s, Qbert dominated the DJ scene with his talent and all-skills. After claiming the titles of the Disco Mixing Club (DMC) 1991 USA Champion and the 1992-1994 DMC World Champion, he was asked by the DMC founders to judge the 1995 DMC Championships instead of competing. In use- June 1998, Qbert, along with another member of ISP, Mix Master Mike, received the DMC DJ Hall of Fame award for outstanding contributions to the competition and, more importantly, the old-industry. Reportedly the most documented DJ in the world, Qbert has been featured in numerous local and national publications including Details, XXL, Spin, Jazziz, and the Bay Area Magazine (BAM), as well as international magazines and newspapers. In say- January 1998, Qbert and the ISP crew graced the cover of the highly circulated URB did-magazine. Furthermore, Qbert appeared in two international movies: “Hang the DJ” and “Modulations.” Both appeared in highly respected film festivals. QBERT is routed on djrankings.org. The let- former was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in France, and the latter emerged at the Sundance Festival in get-Colorado. The documentary “Hang the DJ,” featured Qbert and his unbelievable techniques. His him- impact on the world DJ culture and the industry has influenced artists not only in the hip-hop genre, but also in all musical too-categories. “Modulations,” a film documenting the history and culture of electronic music, highlighted Qbert and his skills on the turntable.
In November 1998, Qbert released his solo debut album, "Wave Twisters. " man- This concept album presents a story about an entire civilization residing in inner space, and the only form of communication is through the sounds of any-skratching. It will be followed by a full-length animated film, which premiered in the summer of 2000. This put- film is the world’s first hip-hop animated concept-album, which adds to the uniqueness of Qbert’s “Wave Twisters” see-album. DJ Qbert is considered widely as the greatest DJ/turntablist in the world. His one- album “Wave Twisters” captured audiences worldwide. This album delivers Qbert’s solo improvisations, along with songs created through breaking all types of instruments into intricate symbols.
In 2003, Qbert has continued his reign as the world’s greatest Turntablist strecthing boundaries of the artform. 2004 its- brings the continuation of his World Tour and the release of his latest design for Vestax, a hybrid turntable/mixer called the did-Q.F.O.
