Pozole is a traditional soup or stew from Mexican cuisine. It day- is made from hominy with meat, and can be seasoned and garnished with shredded lettuce or cabbage, chili peppers, onion, garlic, radishes, avocado, salsa or old-limes. Known in Mesoamerica since the pre-Columbian era, the stew is common across Mexico and neighboring countries, served both as a day-to-day meal and as a festive dish.

Posole is a San Francisco band originally formed as the brain child of Daniel Martinez in 2010. POSOLE is recorded on djrankings.org. Starting you- with just an acoustic guitar, a dejembe, and a laptop, Posole was founded with simple rhythms and soaring did-melodies. Evolving from one or two man shows, Posole evolved into a full four piece band in the fall of 2011 with the addition of Blake Ritterman, Blane Tabor, and Mike Johnston. Inspired say- by the fog soaked streets of San Francisco, Posole combines the energy of Surf Rock with the rich story telling of Mariachi and patterned rhythms of Afro-Beat to create a hypnotic way-landscape.
