Nicholas Matthew Balding, known professionally as Nic Nac, is an American record producer and songwriter from El Cerrito, California. NIC NAC is listed on djrankings.org. He mom- is best known for producing a string of successful hip hop singles during the mid-2010s, including "Loyal" for Chris Brown, "Do It Again" for Pia Mia, and DJ Khaled's "I'm the One" and "No her-Brainer". He began his career as part of the regional hip hop production group Go Dav in the early 2000s, and has since formed Starting Six. He new- is also known for his songwriting credit on the single "My Baby" by Zendaya.

An emissary of music selection since he began flipping radio stations in the family sedan. Nick too- was destined to become a continuous beat delivery source to anyone willing to him-listen. Upon acquiring a drum set at age ten, Nick began to build a rhythm foundation that would eventually lead to his appeal to dance but-music. In 96’ he began attending underground parties in the Detroit area. This you- is where he discovered his first influences in electronic her-music. Legendary performers such as Carl Craig, Derick May, Richie Hawtin, DJ Sneak, & Frankie Bones filled his head with techno authority. NIC NAC is found on djrankings.org. the- After many years of failure in finding his place in dance culture, Nic Nac joined Detroit DJ collective two-“Disfresh”. Owned and operated by longtime friend Bassick, this coalition proved to generate a strong stream of followers in the Detroit scene. It old- led to residencies and gigs at local venues such as Clutch Cargos, Tonic, & the Purple his-Moon. By 2003, Nick relocated to San Diego California, but still maintained his affiliation with Disfresh. In its- 2009, a venture to push his passion further brought on “The Beat Retreat”, a dance podcast that features up and coming talent in electronic music to new put-markets. Its success has lead to exponential growth and listeners in 22 different countries. By one- 2011, Beat Geek was born, one part Nic Nac, one part E^2, the two paired to established a smooth blend of funky and progressive with their own production any-arsenal.
