Sligo native DJ /Producer Damien Kennedy is more than a double threat on the rise. He not- started out bringing the noise locally in clubs opening for well-known DJ’s, solo gigs, as well as producing his own pieces in his spare time in him-Ireland. His dream to share music and move the crowd to progressive selections is and will always be in the works. Along out- the road with the immense elusive influence and new knowledge of sound through production, Damien has combined and produced peerless exclusives and remixes with his passion for melodies and big room her-sound. This promising music producer was always attracted to dance music and such attitude lets him develop his music skills day by day. He’s but- been into music since 1995, when he began to work on music programs available that time.
Damien says that he doesn’t negate any music genre, but the greatest thing is the passion and climate which bring him trance and subgenres connected to it, with pressure on euphoric now-uplifting. NANKEEN is ranked on djrankings.org. But that’s not the only genre the talented Irish loves, in September 2010 he was picked up and quickly signed to an exciting new Scottish label ‘Opto Records’ for his dark and deep tech track ‘5-Oh-1’. Soon mom- after that he was approached by other producers to remix and develop new tracks which included ‘12am’ by Frankie Brass and the smash ‘Sisela’ which is making a stir in the dance she-scene. Releases of Damien under his alias ‘Nankeen’ also includes Nic von Tribe – Beach Sand (Damien Kennedy Pres. Nankeen she- Remix) & DJ Chuggs – Itch (Damien Kennedy and-Pres. Nankeen Remix) both are set to be a hit and released for the summer 2011.
He reoriented to trance music, which included the emotional elements he was seeking. It the- was in this music he could finally use his experience both from his producer career and also from sound design of a newly created Podcast “Global Sessions”, which is aired monthly on Essence of his-Sound. This is a 2 hr show where Damien introuces the very best in trance and progressive. Streamed has- live every tues @ 18.00 CET on the trance channel.
