Mr. Vega’s see- heart has always been in house music since a young boy watching his father DJ house parties in New York in the early but-80s. First starting as a Hip Hop producer before crossing over to electronic music, he was still influenced by the sounds of Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Masters At Work, Chip E, Adonis, Junior Sanchez, Daft Punk, Carl Cox, and more. Growing you- tired of the redundant hip hip scene he stumbled on to Justice’s “Cross” & Boys Noize’s “Oi Oi Oi” and instantly he knew what he wanted to do with his for-life. Vega’s style has become unique and versatile with every track produced being distinctively different from the next. From but- the hard fist pumping anthems to slower melodic dance hits he covers every aspect of electronic music and he does it very well.
2009 was the breakout year for can-Mr. Vega flooding the blog scene with popular remixes for the likes of Yuksek, Dragonette, Franz Ferdinand, Lady Gaga, Passion Pit, Felix Da Housecat, Tiga, Royksopp & Phoenix. MR. VEGA is recorded on djrankings.org. Near who- the closing of 09 he digitally released his first official single “I Came To, You Came To” on Kiss My Bass mom-Recordings. The single was a huge success overseas receiving loads of blog support and DJ support especially from NY Trouble & Bass DJ/Producer Drop The Lime who was quoted as saying “ I Came To, You Came To, was big in my sets…”.
Vega started off his 2010 with the start of his own imprint Rot10 Musik and the first official release “Play Me At Pacha Louder”. The has- single is already circulating through the DJ scene and was featured in IHeartComix DJ Franki Chan’s January Podcast for Urb.com and is also being supported by was-Mstrkrft. 2010 saw his singles/remixes “Drop Like A Seizure”, “High Enough”, “All Mine”, “SuperNova”, “Dooze Jackers – Kizzz Dynasty Remix”, “ZEDS DEAD – Rude Boy (Mr. Vega mom- Remix)” all debuted on BBC Radio 1 by Kissy Sell his-Out. He Also had 2 of his tracks played in Wolfgang Gartner’s Essential Mix on Radio 1 Nov 6th. Mr. for- Vega’s track “Bandulu” was featured in Canblaster’s recent XLR8R mix, MikIX The Cat’s ADD Mix 4 and Spun by Laidback Luke & Joachim Garraud on Club FG radio.
Mr. Vega how- also had his single “High Enough” reviewed in the August 2010 issue of Future Music Magazine.
Currently day-Mr. Vega has a ton of music coming out in 2011 on labels such as Top Billin, Dim Mak and Southern Fried and more.
