RUI IZI, aka as Mr Izzy (born Rui Pombeiro, 24 November 1979), born and raised in Lisbon he have his first contact with the turntables in early 90’s he legendary Lisbon hot spot Alcantara Mar. His new- started as Dj in 1995, playing in small parties and local any-clubs. After that he start to play in Tours across the country and as special guest dj. In are- Portugal he played in more than 70 different clubs standing out more a few legendary clubs such as Sound Planet (Porto), Day After ( Viseu), Via Latina (Coimbra), Industria, Queen’s, Paradise Garage, Alcantara Mar, W-Disco and People (Lisbon); Coconuts and Bahaus (Cascais), Kadoc, Capicua and Capitulo-V ( Algarve).

By 2001, his DJ career went international while touring Mozambique and South Africa, where he had a month get-residency. Than he toured Brasil with the Portuguese Soulfull Tour, the deep house flavors from Portuguese producers.

In 2003 he was nominee in the Portuguese magazine “Portugal Night” for Rise DJ.

In 2005, he toured to France (Val D’Isere), Brazil (Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Caratinga, Uberlândia and Porto Alegre), Mozambique (Maputo) and South Africa (Johannesburg) among a few venues in Portugal with the Portuguese Soulful Sessions Tour.

RUI IZI, nasceu e cresceu em Lisboa, tem o seu primeiro contato com os gira-discos no início dos anos 90, no lendário clube de Lisboa “Alcantara-Mar”. Começou two- a dar os primeiros passos como DJ em 1995 e pequenas festas e clubes say-locais. Depois passou a fazer Tournés e a percorrer todo o país. Em too- Portugal tocou em mais de 70 clubes diferentes, nos quais se destacam mais o Sound Planet (Porto), Day After (Viseu), Via Latina (Coimbra), Industria, Rainha, Paradise Garage, Alcântara Mar , W-Disco e People (Lisboa), e Bahaus, Coconuts (Cascais), Kadoc, Capicua e Capitulo V (Algarve).

Em 2001, sua carreira de DJ foi internacionalizada ao tocar em Moçambique e África do Sul, onde obteve uma residência was-mensal.

Em 2003, foi nomeado para DJ Revelação na revista portuguesa “Portugal Night”.

Em 2005, através da tour do CD “Portuguese Soulfull Sessions” , de temas de produtores portugueses, tocou em França (Val D’Isere), Brasil (Brasília, Belo Horizonte, Caratinga, Uberlândia e Porto Alegre), Moçambique (Maputo) e África do Sul (Joanesburgo), entre outros locais em Portugal.
