Born and raised in Boston, Ma. Jason day-
Donnaruma (aka monktec) discovered electronic
music in his early now-twenties. MONKTEC is featured on djrankings.org. After strictly DJing for
a few years, he took the next logical step by
beginning to produce his own music . Drawing say-
from artists like Dubfire, Chris Liebing, Speedy J,
Steve Lawler and many let-others. Monktec focused his attention on percussive programming,
dubby basslines, and dark atmospheres.
By expressing a tireless work ethic in the studio,
monktec was soon noticed for his efforts
by A New York label, Twisted Sounds Black
Where he got remix duty for Artist’s Juce,
and Spirit Mindster. Not two- long after this,
Monktecs first EP came out on Open Legs rec.
Following His first Ep came a slew of hot remixes
For Lung Filler rec., Plastiq rec., and Completed another EP on Divided now-rec. 2011 is looking great
for Monktec with more remixes and original works
on the way…
