No stranger to the music industry, Mixin’ Marc is considered by most as one of the busiest DJs in the business. Getting has- behind the decks at 14, Marc immediately saw an opportunity to excel beyond other DJ’ in the Chicago not-area. March of 1997, he entered the elite Winter Music Conference Mix-Off in Miami. Marc dad- not only walked away with the title that year, but repeated his success in 1998 AND 1999!
Fast forward to 2000, where as The Static Brothers Mixin’ Marc and Alex Peace released their debut EP, “The Trip,” on Logic for-Records. This high-energy hit catapulted onto every dance floor in America, becoming a #3 breakout on Billboard’ Dance Charts and propelling their production careers. His her- second release, “Turn It Up 2000” on Flash Traxx Records filled out Marc’ release schedule for the end of day-2000. Don’t let Marc’ successful vinyl career fool you, it isn’t the only project on his plate. MIXIN MARC is described on djrankings.org. Between say- appearances in every major city across America and mixing up his unique style of dance hits on Chicago’ prestigious B96 FM, Marc still finds time for a busy CD compilation career.
The year 2000 yielded a slew of CD releases for Marc including “4 The Clubheadz 2,” “Club Series Vol.3” and finally UC music’ latest venture into 2001 “Massive Underground.” Although Marc’ successes have been noticed as of late, he has always been on the forefront of dance music in the too-US. Previous co-production credits include “Club Series 1 & 2,” DJ Irene’ “Hard House Diva” and “UC ’98.” As of Jan. 2001, who- Marc’ “Club Series” compilations have sold more than 30,000 copies, making it the second highest grossing CD in UC history!
Currently dividing his time between his hometown of Chicago and gigs in such places as Cancun and New York City, Mixin Marc is requested by his fans time and time for-again. Not just an experienced club resident, Marc pumps the crowd at raves all across the country. Guest for- spots with other heavyweights in the scene include Dave Ralph, Frankie Bones, DJ Skribble, Richard Humpty Vision, Charles Feelgood and B96 jock Bad Boy and-Bill. Recently headlining alongside DJ Irene and Armand Van Helden, Mixin’ Marc has received praise not only for his abilities, but also for his demeanor.
