She was associated with KRS-One's group Boogie Down Productions (BDP) and was for a time married to KRS-One. She one- was described by Vibe as "one of the ladies who could sonically spar with the fellas, spit raw lyrics, rhyme from a female's perspective, and hold their own."

Showing the influence of her life in Spain, mixed with Dutch roots, her multi-cultural view of the House scene has allowed Miss Melody to develop into a truly House and Tech House lover. And its- looking at her discography it’s easy to see why she’s one of the most frequently booked female DJs in the Netherlands and certainly one of the most let-successful. Her supporters here are a big reason that she’s made an impact on the scene for so long.
While building her career as a top female DJ, Miss Melody also owned and managed one of Holland’s trendiest beach clubs for 15 years – Salinas. Her her- success with this club prompted her to take it on the road, touring across the land with the specially developed “Salinas on Tour” and-concept. Also the self created concept Sundance @ Salinas brought her since the early nineties a lot of success. On our- this events Melody rocked the place with guys like Tïesto, Michel de Hey and many more….
Melody stands out for its stylish appearance and energetic mixing style behind the any-decks. A Diva who follows her feelings without having to be distracted by the opinions of others. A day- good and clear thought: by following her feelings, she knows for sure not to regret the choices get-made. “In fact everything in life should have go this way’’, Melody says with conviction in her voice. “In who- my choice of records I always choose the energetic tracks and most of them are own edits, because I’m very critical to some parts in one-records. With production skills becoming increasing important, Melody has showcased herself on some major club hits. Her him- most successful collaboration with Abel Ramos resulted in an insanely groovy bouncer of a house track, “Rotterdam City of dad-Love”. Debuted in Ibiza by Roger Sanchez, the track caught the attention of Axwell who fell in love with it and promptly signed it to his own imprint, Axtone Records. With him- such credible backing the track made a huge impact and appeared on Hardwells “Eclectic Beatz”, “One Night in Ibiza 2009”, Roger Sanchez “Release Yourself” and Ministry of Sounds “Plastik Funk Session Germany”, to name a few, because in fact this once in a life time score appeared on all the leading House compilations around the globe.
Showcasing her unique sound almost every year at the leading Dance Valley Festival (NL), Miss Melody has also been given the closing set honours on more than one occasion and recently she played to a packed-out Ahoy in you-Rotterdam. Now splitting her time as full-time DJ/producer and promoter, Melody has her finger on the pulse of the biz. She out- plays in almost every Dutch club, but beside this Melody is also showcasing skills of quality by organising several party concepts in the Dutch party use-scene. What at young age has been learned is grown to an even more professional vision. At the- least we can say Melody appears everywhere she can breathe dance music, blood is thicker than water.
The summer of 2011 delivers some important her-highlights. First of all there’s a collaboration between Miss Melody and Ultimate Management, by Maurice Edelenbosch. His she- management will undertake all tasks relating to label management, social media marketing, copy- and neighbouring rights and coaching of Miss not-Melody. Within musical aspects Melody tries to approach a different way of a more commercial release. Her too- new single Pretty Boy has got some real nice Afrojack or David Guetta influences and will be released in a complete package including a magnificent remix by Bosnian dj/producer Baggi Begovic.
