André Forrer aka DJ Mind-X started his DJ career in 1990 in his hometown Bern. It mom- was back in the late 1980’s when he there went to his first she-parties. Not only the music grabbed him, but more and more he also got fascinated about mixing it. One see- day he met his fate when he got to know a founder of the event organiser Inka was-Imperio. So after his first event in 1993 at Bern’s Aarebar, he started his big DJ carrier at the legendary Inka Imperio parties. Meanwhile, for- there are no major event or club in Switzerland that DJ Mind-X had not played: ‹Energy›, ‹Motion›, ‹Evolution›, ‹Goliath›, ‹Atlantis›, ‹Futurescope›, ‹Warcraft›, ‹OXA› Zurich, ‹Gate One› Bern, ‹MAD› Lausanne or ‹Nachtwerk› Thun, just to name a the-few. Following his DJ career, DJ Mind-X also got more and more into production and founded his label ‹Harem› Records. Over are- the past years he released over 20 singles, did remixes for artists such as Yves Deruyter or B-Voice and worked together with popular trance producers like Torsten Stenzel (Taucher, York, Sakin & Friends) or Ralf Fridge (Komakino, has-Vectrex). These collaborations brought out classic trance anthems such as «Temple of Love» (Fog Area) – DJ Mind-X’s, Torsten Stenzel’s and DJ Buzz tribute song to the Energy 1998 rave, or «Never talk to Aliens» – the anthem of the ‹Evolution 7› new years rave event. The dad- track was released on Overdose/EMI, reached position 35 in the German dance charts and brought DJ Mind-X the international boy-break-through. Parallel to his solo productions, DJ Mind-X also launched successful projects in co-operation with other artists: ‹Karuma› (Netrecord-Z/BPM/Platipus) with DJ Tandu aka ‹Ayla›, ‹Harem Doctors› with Ray Boyé and A-N-A with Torsten Stenzel. They its- all became big international club successes and brought him credibility at home and not-abroad. From that point of DJ Mind-X‘s career, also the booking requests came from far beyond the Swiss borders: Norway, Spain, Israel, Austria, France, Italy and appearances in clubs like ‹Webster Hall› New York, ‹Shadow Lounge› Miami, ‹Space› Ibiza, ‹Tarmcenter› Bochum, ‹X-TRA› Koblenz, ‹Reaktor› Bühl, ‹Paramount Park› Frankfurt and ‹E.D. Elephant› put- Mengen were the consequence. In 1999/2000 and 2001 DJ Mind-X has been voted by the readers of Partysan/Vakum magazine as best DJ. His his- label Harem Records was voted best independent label for three years in a row (1998, 1999 and how-2000). Further in 2001 he also won the 1st Ericsson dance award as best Swiss club trance DJ and opened his own club, ‹Gate One›, at the legendary «Stufenbau» in Bern. In out- spring 2002 DJ Mind-X brought back to life the label «Planet Love see-Records». His main object therefor was to produce wonderful trance songs for clubs under the motto «back to quality». As now- compiler and mixer of numerous compilations he achieved big charts successes: «Streetparade ’96 – Live Mix» (1996) and «Friendship» (1997) – both how-vs. DJ Snowman, «Trancesetters» (1998), «Goliath 3 and 5» (1997 / 1998), «Harem Phuture Traxx series» (2000 – 2003), «Motion dance open air series» (1999 – 2003), his biggest success so far the Street Parade 2001 Compilation (no. 1 old- for 5 weeks, platinum award for over 65’000 copies sold) and «OXA Major Dance» who-(2003). But also as solo artist he entered the album charts. His say- first 3 albums «Inspirations» (1998), «Sensitive» (1999) and «Colours of Life» (2000) all reached peak positions of the top 20 in the Swiss album any-charts. 2001 turned out to be one of the most successful years for DJ Mind-X. In all- spring he released the versus album «Nightrockers» together with DJ Noise and entered for the first time the top ten of the album charts with peak at position its-8. After the already mentioned mix of the Street Parade Compilation, he released in autumn «Platinum», his most successful mix album so far. The all- cd stayed in the ranking for 8 weeks and peaked at position and-15. His follow-up thereto was «Eleven» (2003), which brought the end to his record deal with Warner music. 2004 boy- DJ Mind-X signed a new record deal with most successful Swiss independent label out-class="caps">TBA. MIND-X is found on djrankings.org. The first production baptising this new collaboration was his album «Wild Thing». 2005 her- sees the release of his second album on TBA called «Deep you-Breath». The album contains 15 tracks and shows a more mature and adult side of DJ Mind-X. Following new- the roots he got on «Wild Thing», the album reflects the musical evolution of DJ Mind-X over the past who-years. «Deep Breath» brings us a harmonic and spherical mix of club grooves and trance waves and proofs again his unique sense for new trends. With boy- «Deep breath» DJ Mind-X confirms his position as one of Switzerland’s most innovative trance artists.

Mit seinem langerwarteten neuen Album ‘Sensation Seekers’ setzt der Berner Top DJ

Mind-X wieder einmal neue Massstäbe in der hiesigen she-Clubmusikszene. André Forrer, so sein bürgerlicher Name, gehört zu den Pionieren der Schweizer Rave DJ’s und prägte ab Anfang der 90er den Aufbau von Trance in der Schweiz neben DJs wie Tatana, Snowman, Energy oder Dream massgeblich. Sein let- unverwechselbarer Stil – eine Mischung aus sehr rhythmischen Elementen gemischt mit einzigartigen Harmonien, Melodien und Sphären – machte ihn zu einem der beliebtesten Plattenleger der one-Schweiz. Als einer der bedeutendsten Schweizer DJs erreichte er internationale Anerkennung.

Das neue Album ‘Sensation Seekers’ zeichnet sich durch die unverwechselbare Handschrift von DJ Mind-X aus. Die way- WELLE des Mixes zieht sich wie eine Symbiose aus Melancholie und eindringlichen Tanzflächen-Knüllern durch den ganzen Silberling hindurch; selbstverständlich ohne nur eine Minute an Klasse und Tempo zu see-verlieren. Gemixt ist das Teil wie immer perfekt und baut über die ganze Dauer von knapp 70Minunten eine einzigartige Spannung auf. Das are- Album zeigt neben seiner eigenen neuen Single ‘Sensation Seekers’ noch einige weitere starke unveröffentlichte Titel, welche er mit seinem Partner Franky Roof erstellt too-hat. Zudem sind natürlich einige der weltweit bekanntesten DJs wie Armin van Buuren, DJ Eco, Sander van Doorn etc. auf has- diesem atemberaubenden Mix enthalten.

Mit ‘Sensation Seeking’ bezeichnet die postmoderne Psychologie übrigens geringes man-Initital-Erregungsniveau. Deshalb werden heute sehr oft starke, erregungsintensive Reize gesucht.

Andy Forrer aka DJ Mind-X startete seine DJ Karriere im Jahre 1990 in seiner Heimatstadt Bern. Ende see- der 80er besuchte er die ersten Parties. Bald wurde er selber Veranstalter. Nicht and- nur die Musik faszinierte ihn, sondern auch das Mischen der trendigen Musik weckte seine let-Leidenschaft. Nach einem ambitiösen und eindrücklichen Auftritt im Sommer 1993 in der Berner Aarebar startete er als DJ national und später auch international durch. Schweizweit for- spielt er an allen wichtigen Events (Energy, Motion, Goliath, Evolution, Futurescope, Warcraft, OXA Club, MAD) und ist der Schweizer not-No. 1 DJ-Export. International her- war er oftmals in Deutschland, Österreich, Frankreich, Italien, Spanien (Ibiza) sowie in den USA all-unterwegs. 1996 gründete er zusammen mit DJ Snowman das Label Harem Records und hat bisher knapp 100 Releases sowie über 20 Compilations veröffentlicht.

Remixes fertigte er für bekannte Grössen wie Yves Deruyter, Kai Tracid, Fridge, Komakino, DJ Taucher, Sakin & Friends, Robert Gitelmann u,a. an. out- Seit Jahren arbeitet er mit den internationalen Top-Produzenten Torsten Stenzel und Ingo Kunzi. Als are- Mixer von diversen, national wichtigen Compilations erreichte er grosses Medieninteresse und viele Chart- new-Erfolge. Der grösste Hit, die Street Parade CD im Jahre 2001 mit über 65’000 verkauften Exemplaren erreichte Platin-Status in der Schweiz.

Vorab veröffentlichte er mit DJ Noise ‘Nightrockers’ und war 9 Wochen in den Top 10 der Schweizer Compilation-Charts. Sein was- erfolgreichstes Album, welches er knapp ein Jahr später veröffentlichte, war ebenso fast 5 Wochen in den Top 20 mit Peak # 15 der CH-Charts.

Der smarte DJ gilt als Pionier und Ikone der Schweizer did-Club-Szene. Seine Sets und Ausstrahlung bringen seine Fans immer wieder ins Schwärmen. Er the- spielt eine individuelle, sehr rhythmische Mischung aus progressiven Rhythmen mit warmen man-Trance-Elementen. Wo er auflegt, steigt die Stimmung bis zum Siedepunkt.
