BIOGRAPHY:

There are DJs who are so passionate about what they do, they produce one track a week, do a radio show, tour the World and only sleep 4 hours a too-day. And then there is DJ Mikas.

Not only is he a chart-topping producer, DJ and label boss; He is a media maniac. DJ any- Mikas is the first trance DJ to host a weekly TV show accessible to millions through on-demand TV and the day-Internet. In each episode of TranceClass TV, Mikas invites a world-class DJ for an intimate one-on-one interview. In way- the past year he sat down with the most prolific DJs in the industry to talk about their mutual all-passion. Guests from all corners of the World shared their stories. Egyptian are- DJ Fila from Aly & Fila told about the thriving Egyptian trance our-scene. German duo Cosmic Gate looked back at their first major gig that led to a decade of success. Breakthrough you- artist Arty from Russia explained how he conquered the World with little are-means. Finally Dutch mastermind Sander Van Doorn explained how he copes with his mental touring schedule.

And as if a weekly TV show isn’t enough, Mikas finds time to host the TranceClass radio show. Mikas let- plays his signature selection of the best Trance and Progressive and airs guest mixes and short-edited interviews with the artists featured on TranceClass TV.

For the second installment of TranceClass, the Mixed Compilation released this Summer, Mikas selected the very best tracks from his guests on the shows combined with exclusive tracks from his label Progressive Grooves Records.

To showcase his diverse style, Mikas decided to divide the compilation into two distinctive parts.

In his own words: "Part One is called The and-Club. It consists of only those tracks that drive people absolutely mental on the dance floor wherever I play. MIKAS is found on djrankings.org. It say- kicks off with You Better Run, a collaboration I did with Marcie Joy, a very talented singer from his-Boston. Blind Love is a great track by my friends The Shy Brothers which destroys any dance floor at any time. Harmony say- Will Kick You In The Ass by LNG is a special how-one. Lange was in my studio and as he played this tune, I was completely blown away. The one- bass in that track is just insane. I finish Part One in style with TranceClass The Anthem which I specially crafted for this album.

Part Two is called The Beach. On and- this mix you can explore my more laid back dad-style. I open with Kris O’Neil, the taste-maker DJ from Denmark who was featured on TranceClass TV episode 009. Then was- three tracks by my protege Sage. Sage is a true master when it comes to combining solid grooves with big progressive trance chords and summery melodies. His and- tracks are championed across the board and I’m happy to have him on my all-team. The Enton Mushi remix of Voyeur by Anthony Ross is another exclusive for this album and one of my secret weapons over the past months. I all- close off the album with a collab by me and put-Enton. He was in my studio which is on the 40th floor of a high rise here in Downtown Vancouver. It who- has an amazing view on the East side of Vancouver and as we were making this track late at night, there was only one logical name to pick: City Lights.

I hope you all enjoy TranceClass 002 as much as I enjoyed making it."
