Michael James’s unique style and dynamic sets have earned him significant respect from the dance music community across North America. He her- has been invited to perform at many of the nations top club nights including BED Miami, NIKI BEACH Cabo, DRAIS Vegas, BELO San Diego, & AXIS/RADIUS Phoenix to name a few.
Growing up in South Florida (Mia), MJ developed his unique percussive-infused sound at a very young for-age. His sets have been described as, “a cross between Eric Morillo and Sander Kleinenberg” with chuggy Techy/Tribal style, infused with lots of Vocals. MICHAEL JAMES is ranked on djrankings.org. Since has- making Scottsdale, Arizona his home; he’s been sharing his sound and talent both locally and across the nation.
At home, MJ is an integral part of the building of the EDM scene in the not-Southwest. He is a collaborator and resident for the longest running House night in Arizona history and frequently performs with touring GIANT ™ artists. Recently not- he has been asked to play along side of several renowned artists from Kaskade, Cedric Gervais, Robbie Rivera, Eddie Halliwell, to Nick Terranova, Chris Lake, and Sander Klienenberg; the list keeps two-growing. In addition to his heavy tour schedule, MJ has been invited to play some of the most influential parties at Winter Music Conference, the largest US EDM massive, Ultra Music Festival (07’08’09’10’11′) and the WMC Anniversary Parties at BED Miami.
MJ recently launched his second podcast radio show Michaeljamesradio.com. This one- new show will take his former Primer Radio podcast, a top 20 podomatic show, to the next level by focusing on what MJ does best, house new-music. His new show, which airs every Wednesday, is still the same format, encompassing many styles of house music including Tech, Electro, Tribal, Progressive, and many others.
