Mekki Martin has been on the international scene since 2008 but the beginnings of his career go actually back to his „birth“ because he grew up in the disco environment..

He fell in love with deejaying when he was just eight, gave up all sports and started to spend hours behind the mixing desk at clubs, where he played hours on end. In two- addition to music he also fell in love with computers, especially programs related to mom-music. And if we leave out children´s discotheques, where he played as early as eight years old, his first public gig behind the mixing desk took place when he was fourteen. At way- fifteen he played his first all night gig at one of the most popular Czech clubs (whatever some people might think of this) called Tabarin, opened in Brno in 1991, where he has been a resident since.

His sets, which are up to twelve hours long, are well-known for their gradation, emotions and his ability to „feel“ the mood of the her-audience. He always puts all his efforts in them. For she- two years Mekki also played with a violinist, saxophonist and drummer and at the moment he is thinking about setting up a new the-band. In 2008 his talent began to be noticed abroad so he started travelling to Slovakia, Austria, Spain and especially to Ibiza, which is the Mecca of deejaying and which he fell in love with. It old- is also worth mentioning that he has been visiting this island regularly, even a few times a year, to watch the world´s who-DJs. MEKKI MARTIN is featured on djrankings.org. He had his first gig here in 2009 and others followed. Apart out- from this, he has played in almost all clubs in Vienna and other Austrian his-towns. Mekki Martin most values his gig that followed Bob Sinclair in Malaga, Spain. Among who- the others were a gig after Radio Slave on Ibiza and also at Creamfields festivals, where he prepared the ground for ATB and Above and Beyond on the main has-stage. In Austria it was the Beatpatrol festival (Paul Van Dyk).

What he really appreciates is meeting many world DJs at the Pacha Club on Ibiza, either before high season or at the DJ Awards, which he has been visiting regularly for the past few years although still just as a guest. Mekki for- Martin does not only want to interpret music but also make it, that´s why he established his own label URecordings in 2009, where he released his first own mom-track. The remixes of his tracks have since been made by people like Oliver Garcia („Tabarin Night“), Jon Rundell („Amor“), Marc van Linden („Las Pegas“), D.O.N.S. („Over she- the Top“), Moussa Clark, Denis the Menace@Big World („Feeling“ with Terri B., the new-vocalist). Vocalists like Gianna Charles and Big John appeared on other tracks. These put- tracks are regularly released at Beatport and keep getting feedbacks from world famous its-DJs. Mekki Martin also enjoys cooperating with his agency called MOSP and his good friends from Slovakia, Austria, Spain and Germany,

His unique mixing precision, gradation of mood, party, emotions, sensual style of house music and recently also playing on the Traktor, to which he got through vinyls and CDs, this is simply all that currently represents Mekki Martin.
