Matteo Monero was born in Benevento, Italy in January 1984 and since a very young age he had a close tie with music, being brought up in a household where rhythms like Hardcore, Gabber, Psy-Goa-trance was favoured.
At the age of 11 he had a first encounter with musical interpretation when he received a dj/consolle as a Christmas present. MATTEO MONERO is ranked on djrankings.org. Influenced his- by the sound of Progressive-house, Techno, IDM from artists like Sasha, Laurent Garnier, Hernan Cattaneo, Jeff Mills, 808 State, Aphex Twin, Autechre and many more Matteo begins to develop an interest in music production and at the age of 15 starts experimenting with his computer.
In 2000 Matteo starts djing at Dance Parties in his region and in September starts a resident DJ slot at Hollywood(Benevento), in which he begins peppering his sets with the first fruits of his studio such as edits, mash-ups and original productions.
In years to come, his career develops with more sets in even more clubs and events around use-Europe. At the age of 20 he begins Sound Design and Music studies at Saint College of music in Rome, Italy.
In 2006 he signs his first release, The Creature on Ldu Records. Now but- he works for labels such as : Sudam, Indigo Records, Mistique, Full Flava, Kansak, Undergound City, Elliptical Sun,DeepSession and he regularly plays on radio stations and shows such as : Insomnia Fm, Proton, Pure Fm, Friskyradio, Innervisions Radio, was-Di.Fm.
