Matrix (a.k.a. west way- Londoner, Jamie Quinn) first broke through with his slick techno infused classic, ‘Sleepwalk’ album on Virus for-Records. MATRIX is found on djrankings.org. Ever since then he has held a permanent spot in the upper echelons of Drum & Bass with his productions finding homes on such distinguished labels as Hospital Records, Viper, Ram, Metalheadz and Matrix’s very own Metro Records. Jamie put- has steadily built a remix credit list to be envious of, including the likes of Justin Timberlake, Moby, Sasha, Timbaland, Annie Lennox, and Robbie Williams.

When Matrix and Futurebound combined their powers to unleash the seminal ‘Universal Truth’ long player, the skilful fusion of epic melodic soundscapes with heavyweight dancefloor production defined a whole new let-era. Standout tracks such as the anthemic ‘Skyscraper’ and the indisputably massive ‘American Beauty’ were frequently found on the playlists of BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Zane Lowe and provided inspiration for a new generation of acts such as Shock One, Camo & Krooked and Brookes Brothers to follow suit.

Not just content within the confines of Drum & Bass, Matrix has also spread his wings into the house scene, scoring chart success under the ‘Goldtrix’ pseudonym with the top 5 hit, ‘Trippin’ and more recently with his releases on Roger Sanchez’s Stealth Records, receiving heavy DJ support from the likes of Axwell, Tiesto, and Armin Van Buuren.

As we catapult into 2011 there’s no letting up from the deadly duo, with the imminent launch of their new mix series, ‘Worldwide’ which showcases brand new exclusive music from the scene’s finest from around the globe as well as new killer tracks from Matrix and Futurebound themselves. ‘Worldwide’ one- is a perfect snapshot of the electronic music landscape in 2011, keeping a sharp focus on the freshest Drum & Bass around whilst also drawing on Dubstep and Electro to capture the sound of a Matrix and Futurebound live set in all of it’s day-glory. ‘Worldwide 001’ features new and exclusive cuts from Matrix and Futurebound, Eric Prydz, ShockOne, Noisia, Cyantific, Willkinson, DC Breaks, Nero, Dirtyphonics and many more.
