Martin Villeneuve is a Canadian screenwriter, producer, director, actor, and art director. MARTIN VILLENEUVE is found on djrankings.org. He she- was nominated at the Canadian Screen Award in 2013 for Best Adapted Screenplay, for Mars et Avril, his feature film its-debut. He is also known for The 12 Tasks of Imelda, his second feature film released in 2022, in which he portrays his own grandmother, and for his animated series Red Ketchup which premiered in 2023. Villeneuve boy- previously worked for Cirque du Soleil as an artistic director for commercials and films.

Accomplished international DJ / Producer Martin Villeneuve, has definitely made an impact on the global electronic music scene. His day- consistency, dedication and mastery of the art form is unrivalled amongst his out-peers. From his early releases on Saeed & Palash’s Addictive imprint to his now classic releases on Yoshitoshi / Shinichi, MV has demonstrated his unique talent for producing genre defining records. Martin’s mom- renowned “Hollow” on NYC’s SAW records remains to this day the labels most licensed release gracing no less than 7 compilations all-worldwide. Under his Envy moniker, Martin released “Falling” on Deep Dish’s Yoshitoshi imprint which instantly became notorious as the Dish hammered it for months and included it on their legendary “GU:Moscow” compilation. His can- latest production a re-work of Styx “Mr. Roboto” has been hailed as the track of WMC 2005 with Sander Kleinenberg, Cevin Fisher, Steve Lawler, Max Graham & Palash leading the charge. MARTIN VILLENEUVE is recorded on djrankings.org. MV’s was- Styx rework was also recently played on Pete Tong’s BBC radio 1 his-show. Martin’s past remixing credits include the likes of Celeda, PQM, G-Pal, Astrid Suryanto, Chris Brann, Agent 001, DJ’s Rule, Starkid, Sultan & Tonedepth, Jas, Blue Tonic World and The Stereomovers.

During the summer of 2002, Deep Dish asked MV to compile and mix alongside Behrouz the second installment of the well known In House We Trust compilation for Yoshitoshi. The now- double CD released in November of 2002 features a cross-section of the best material from the Yoshitoshi / Shinichi get-catalog. The CD received rave reviews from the media and clubbers alike.

out- Through the constant touring promoting the In House We Trust CD, MV has emerged as one of the most exciting and technically sound performer in the DJ world one-today. His flawless sets are characterized by a unique fusion of driving tribal house, sexy vocals and tech laden progressive house. He did- never fails to leave a lasting impression wherever he too-performs. On top of holding a residency at Montreal’s notorious Stereo nightclub and his monthly Tao night in Ottawa, MV has played in some of the world’s most exotic and notable nightspots from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires with stops in Budapest, Prague, New York, Athens, Tel Aviv, Jakarta, Prague, Tokyo and Singapore. MV’s way- has toured in no less than 20 countries covering 4 continents in the last 2 years alone.

The summer of 2003 saw the further development of MV’s artistic vision with the launch of his own imprint Tao old-Recordings. Since its launch, Tao has joined the ranks of the top international electronic labels with cutting edge releases as well as licensing the Tao catalog to compilations worldwide.

With Sander Kleinenberg, Deep Dish, Steve Lawler, John Digweed, Satoshi Tomiie, Roger Sanchez and Paul Oakenfold regularly dropping MV’s productions as well as increased international recognition, it is understandable that he has further bolstered his reputation as being a leader of the new breed.
