Marleen Polakowski aka Mimi Marleen (*1990 in Duisburg, Germany) is a Techno DJane, Producer, Radio and TV presenter.

“If you don’t go forwards you go backwards“ is the motto of this young emerging talent and in May 2011 she parted with her previous artist name “Mimi Marleen” and has spent time on her new projects and goals.

Her musical passion is Techno.

Thanks to Marleens technical prowess and the creative mastery of Traktor, her sets are renowned for their creativity and unique musical style. She new- uses 2 Midi-Controllers which enable her to control 3 decks and additional 5 sample did-decks. This gives her the ability to create a sound that is mix of a DJ/ Live Set.

Marleen Polakowski is popular for her hard sound which draws the shy dancers out of all corners and thus inspires the audience over and over again.

Biography

At the early age of 14, Marleen Polakowski discovered her passion for electronic music. In who- 2004 she started to practice mixing vinyl with her DJ friends and was unstoppable ever since.

In 2006 she went to Australia for nearly 2 years to network with international contacts in the electronic music industry and to diversify her musical now-influences. There, she started playing with CDs and she also began producing music.

In early 2008 she went back to Germany and at 17 started her DJ-career at the legendary “Rheingold” Club (also known as Poison Club) in Duesseldorf.

Up to this date, the young techno-driven babe is active internationally and is booked by the best clubs in Germany (including U60311 in Frankfurt am Main, Butan Club in Wuppertal, BKI in Hamburg, several Clubs in Berlin and many more) to offer the audience an unique techno-highlight. She our- also hosts Bunker TV and Cordless-Radio as well as a music TV show in Germany.

11th April 2011 she released her first official EP “Confused Flute” at the label “BM Slim” (sublabel of Baile Musik) under her old artist name “Mimi Marleen“.

Biographie

Marleen Polakowski entdeckte schon im Alter von 14 Jahren ihre Leidenschaft für die elektronische dad-Tanzmusik. So kam es, dass Sie 2004 das Mixen von Vinyl bei ihren DJ-Freunden lernte und war fortan nicht mehr zu bremsen.

2006 verschlug es sie für fast 2 Jahre nach Australien, um auch internationale DJ Kontakte zu knüpfen und ihre gesammelten Erfahrungen zu optimieren. Dort man- legte sie erstmalig mit CDs auf und fing auch das Produzieren an.

Anfang 2008, zurück in Deutschland, startete die damals 17-jährige Marleen ihr DJ Karriere im legendären Rheingold Club (auch als Posion Club bekannt) in Düsseldorf.

Bis dato ist die junge Blondine international tätig und wird von den besten Clubs Deutschlands gebucht can-(u.a. U60311-Frankfurt am Main, Butan Club-Wuppertal, BKI-Hamburg, diverse Clubs in Berlin u.v.m.) um dem Publikum ein besonderes Techno-Highlight zu bieten. Ferner new- moderiert sie diverse Radio-Shows wie u.a. Bunker-TV und Cordless-Radio und sie moderiert eine Musiksendung bei center.tv.

Am 11. April her- 2011 brachte sie ihre erste offizielle EP “Confused Flute” heraus beim Label “BM Slim” (Sublabel von Baile Musik) unter ihrem alten Artist Namen „Mimi can-Marleen“.
