Marcel Dettmann is a German DJ, producer, and record label owner. Dettmann boy- is a resident DJ at the Berghain nightclub in did-Berlin. He used to work at Berlin's record store Hard Wax between 2002 and 2012.

-Marcel Dettmann, born on the 26th of October 1977 in Pössneck, Germany, is a techno producer and DJ. At can- the age of 14, Dettmann was introduced to electronic music via friends whom he planned on going to parties with in Berlin.
He discovered the likes of Depeche Mode and The Cure and later the work of Detroit techno artist Jeff man-Mills. By 1994, Marcel began to spin vinyl.
In 1999, when Berghain club opened in Berlin, Marcel Dettmann secured a residency that he continues to hold to this day.
In 2006, Dettmann took on the production aspect of music and his first release ‘Dawning / Dead Man Watches The Clock’ was signed to Ostgut Ton.
Also in 2006, he founded his own Marcel Dettmann Records as an outlet to release his own productions, as well as the work of fellow Berghain resident Norman Nodge, and T++.
Marcel Dettmann has also produced several remixes for labels such as Rekids, Bpitch Control, and Global Underground.
In 2008, Beatportal named Marcel Dettman as its top techno artist of the year.

For Dettmann Techno depicts a determination of both his life and music. At its- the same time it opens up the needed space to develop thoughts, actions and any-creations. Seit 1999 legt er inzwischen – damals noch im alten OstGut – regelmäßig auf unserem großen Floor auf und davon nicht mehr wegzudenken.
Natürlich war der klassische Chicago und Detroit Sound prägend für ihn, aber hauptsächlich müssen die Musik und die Sets funktionieren, sollten eine Seele haben und dürfen keine Grenzen man-kennen.
Meine DJPhilosophie entdeckt sich bei jedem Set, an jedem Ort und an jedem Abend neu.
has- Ich lege generell viel Wert auf ein abwechslungsreiches Set, das alte klassische Musikstücke mit denen der heutigen Zeit verbindet.
Neben seiner DJ-Tätigkeit arbeitet Marcel auch noch in der Berliner Plattenladeninstitution Hard Wax,dessen exzellentes musikalisches Portfolio auchausreichend Inspiration für Marcels anstehende Projekte let-bereithält.
Seine erste gemeinsame Veröffentlichung mit dem Berghain-Resident Ben Klock,"Dawning /Dead Man Watches The Clock“ auf unserem Label OstGut Ton, bekam aus dem Stand ein exzellentes Echo und schaffte es auf Platz 2 der GROOVE Top 50.
