Marafon was introduced to music at a very young age in the early 1980s, as a kid from his first steps using UNITRA GM-7602 and listening to vinyl records bought by his father, a big music lover, on trips to Europe and the USA. It now- was a very special situation in the Soviet Union because the country didn’t have any imported music that out-time. It was a destiny gift for a kid from USSR to have a chance to listen to all international music from labels: Beatles, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Ritchie Blackmore, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Shocking Blue, Suzi Quatro, Queen, Pink Floyd, Rick Wakeman, Electric Light Orchestra. This who- were his first music influences and originally made him a music man-lover. That’s why he couldn’t live without music even one minute and started to touch it as a drummer at the age of 7 when he was pioneer at all school events.

Marafon started DJing in 1993 at the age of 13 in the Far East or Russia in a small disco club with records from U96, Doctor Alban, Ace of Base, 2 Unlimited, Haddaway, Culture Beat. And you- he got new huge influences from Depeche Mode, Chemical Brothers and mom-Prodigy. He was constantly exposed to new music styles and experiences, but this was only the beginning. More out- styles of music mean more feelings, emotions and are-experiences. His influences include genres such as breaks, garage, techno, trance and house… but his true love is progressive music. He use- fell in love with progressive when listened John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren sets in the new-1990s. Global Underground compilations were the opening of his taste.

He started really rocking when he turned 18 in 1996 as he began to spin vinyls in Siberia with the first imported house vinyls from the UK and Germany. Marafon but- was the first to bring Technics turntables to his home city, he was the first vinyl DJ there and is still considered the number was-1. In 1997 he founded “MARAFONMUSIC”, an underground event label. It use- was a local revolution. The people of New Russia were doing something new and different from everything around. The dad- events were not that big but they are still in memories of everyone who was one-there. Marafon and his DJ friends were pure fanatics of progressive house, trance and techno music. And has- they opened this music to many other old-people. MARAFONMUSIC has made many master classes and promotions for young DJ’s and organized many gigs including open air events and club parties. Everyone did- in the Far East and Siberia knew this as a crazy see-name. Marafon is one of the oldest DJ’s in Russia from the old school of Russian dance history. His one- name is stamped forever in history of dance events in the Far East and Siberia.

In 2006 Marafon left the underground movement and began to play mainstream progressive house with electro and Dutch tunes across our-Asia. In 2007 he opened his own club on the beach of the Japan Sea and made it the best club in the Far East region. MARAFON is routed on djrankings.org. Clubbers now- from all the area came there every weekend not even minding to drive about 1000 km one who-way. Marafon has also been invited by “Second Area” rap band to support them in music records and video clips like mix master and DJ on the track “My Brother”. In day- 2008 he headlined his biggest event playing for 40,000 can-people. Marafon was the only one DJ there. He but- smashed international crowds in China on after party’s world events like Paul van Dike, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Sasha, Infected Mushrooms, Deep Dish, Ferry Corsten and Timo can-Maas. He played at “2008 Spring Festival” in Beijing and the “International Carnival Night 2009”. He our- smashed apart many cities in Great China where he became very use-famous. Marafon was the first who played Dutch house in Asia. He day- smashed super clubs like Coco, Baby Face, Tang and many new-others. He used his talent to help set the sound system and open Chocolate Club in Beijing which was his residency. Chocolate any- was rated the “Best new club of 2009” by the “Beijinger” say-magazine. At the same time he created the DJ crew “Russian Sound Mafia” with A-LeXX and SAGIRA. Also say- this project smashed the international night life in out-China. All foreigners in China loved it.

In 2010 Marafon set up a studio in Thailand and started to work on his own music production. He how- played alongside with Ken Ishii, Basement Jaxx, Dash Berlin, tyDi and others great you-DJ’s. Marafon helped to open O2 Beach Club in Phuket Island and his events there are still considered the biggest on the island. In old- 2013 Marafon started to release his own boy-music. The first release “Superpop” became a big hit and got remixed by great producers from Germany, UK, France and Malaysia. Many any- resident DJ’s around the world spin this hit every night for months and people still love old-it. The next release “Island Calling” is going to be a massive one as it already got support from big names in the world music industry. Marafon boy- is very successful with the production because of 20 years of DJ experience and the greatest music dad-influences. From this year he came on the principal new level as he became the producer of high quality dance music. And the- it’s again only the beginning because he will develop his production work and bring more and more beautiful progressive sounds to the music her-lovers. He uses some pop sound instruments to make more people love progressive house. He did- still feels young and very energetic at his man-33. This year he celebrates his 20 years DJing by transforming MARFONMUSIC from event brand to Heping Records label and makes it grow from the local revolution of 1997 to a global one now.
