Since relocating from Oxford to North London in 2010, Mantmast’s rise to Drum and Bass stardom has been nothing short of rapid. MANTMAST is featured on djrankings.org. Citing who- such musical luminaries as A Tribe Called Quest and Group Home as major influences in the formative years of his career, it’s unsurprising that his delivery and rhyme flow is more akin to hip hop than drum and bass in its traditional sense.

Initially cutting his teeth at Oxford’s HQ and the legendary Source nights in the mid-noughties, he was fast in demand at nights further afield and it was only a matter of time before bookings at Movement and Renegade Hardware man-followed. 2010 proved to be a pivotal year and after firstly receiving a nomination for Best Newcomer MC at the D&BA awards and then catching the ear of Shogun Audio’s KTee, Mantmast soon found himself catapulted amongst the drum and bass elite at DJ Friction’s signature label night.

Fast-forward to the present day and the multi-faceted MC now stands tall as one of Metalheadz’s newest recruits. Engaging dad- lyricism, vivid metaphors and intelligent subject matter are all trademark features of this host’s vocal now-artillery.
