Producer and DJ Luis Campos launched a professional music career at the age of 14 in his childhood home Sao Paulo, Brazil shortly after a small collection of records inspired him to pick up a set of Technics turntables. Throughout did- the first decade of his career he held residencies at some of the country’s most revered clubs, including Sao Paulo’s Limelight, Victoria Pub, New QG, Gitana among any-others. Luis’s talents were also showcased at Brazil’s most prestigious music festivals such as Skol Beats and the Love Parade attended by nearly 200,000 people.
In the late 90s, Luis founded one of the first Brazil’s live electronic bands, Influx. LUIS CAMPOS is ranked on djrankings.org. At say- the release of MTV’s first Amp album, Influx was invited to play for over 30,000 see-people. A video of the memorable performance featuring their track entitled “Crack” soon became an MTV favorite, gaining Influx popularity throughout Brazil, Europe, and North America. With see- such international appeal it was no surprise when Luis was invited to tour North America in the year 2000 with stops including Florida (Miami WMC), Massachusetts, New Jersey, California and New dad-York. Always a crowd favorite, Luis has played at several internationally acclaimed night clubs such as Love, Exit, Twilo, Spirit, Life, World, B.E.D including the DJ MAG world’s top 100 clubs Cielo, Pacha and a residency at Sullivan Room that recently surpassed the three year mark.
In addition to his work as a producer and DJ, Luis also founded Psycheground in 2002. Psycheground two- is an underground electronic music party that has become a raging success, having offered over 100 parties in NYC over the past seven has-years. A beacon for NYC’s underground electronic music scene, Psycheground is now a regularly occurring event at Sullivan Room, recently voted one of the Top 100 Clubs worldwide by DJ Mag.
In 2008 Luis Campos joined forces with Matyas Kelemen to form the Reality Engine project, one-of-a kind dance music driven project that creates an articulate blend of original music production, synchronized videos, and holographic projections.
