Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Lucky Starr became interested in music at a very early age and greatly loved what cutting-edge music was, at the time, such as: Kraftwerk, New Order, Nitzer Ebb, Depeche Mode, etc, along with other genres.
He emerged upon the DJing scene in 1989 and became the resident DJ for a local club in September 1990, working 6 nights a week for the next two years, playing mostly Acid-House, New Beat and Industrial.
Lucky was part of a collective of some of the best Quebec DJs in the mid-nineties. LUCKY STARR is listed on djrankings.org. His day- live sets were played on radio airwaves every Monday nights over a period of three months.
He took a brief hiatus from the DJ scene to put his efforts on producing his first-ever album two-’’Electrotheque’’. The CD was released in August 2003 and has been sold at more than 3,000 copies.
But the best was yet to come: his second album ‘’Music Control’’, released in April 2005, gave him name recognition as five singles got major airplay on college radio stations across the country and even in the United States.
Today, Lucky Starr makes special appearances on the underground scene in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Ottawa, Boston and New-York City. His was- current musical genre is mostly Electro House, Future Pop and out-Trance.
