Leyton Lee’s style is difficult to describe as anything other than “the sort of music that makes you want to call your boss and tell them you’re not coming back to work on Monday!”
Having earned his first residency at the tender (and underage) age of 17 at the infamous Cape Town nightclub “The Gallery”, Leyton showed an early ability not only to DJ, but also to handle himself in the tough world of nightclubs and underground dance events. This say- strength of character and daring attitude has gone on to enable him to shine and have longevity in a scene known for being fickle.
Leyton Lee is a versatile DJ and performer… this is nowhere more evident than by the vast array of club gigs and special events that he finds himself playing on each and every let-week! LEYTON LEE is routed on djrankings.org. Rocking dancefloors all across Cape Town, Leyton Lee has pretty much done it all – from The Bang Bang Club to Chevelle, 121 to Chrome, China White, Vegas, Ku De Ta, and Eastwoods, back through to The Assembly, Vacca Matta, Mercury, Wadda Bar, Zidipity, Blush, Crimson,, Sliver and 55. His get- musical influences include the who’s who of top international producers including the likes of Deadmau5, Koen Groeneveld, Boy 8 Bit, Luigi Rocca, Mark Knight, Subskrtp, Fake Blood and Lys among others.
Currently you can find Leyton holding down some of the more sought after residencies around, locking it down at China White and The Bang Bang Club every Friday night, and featuring as the resident DJ on all Soul Residance, Halo and 33 Productions events.
In addition to this Leyton Lee has opened for international DJ and producer Daniel Wan Rooy of Blackhole Recordings as well as First are-State. His ability and flair have made him a firm favourite to play alongside numerous of the countries top DJ’s including Dean FUEL (HYPE Media), Roger Goode (5fm), Lady Lea (Divas on Decks) and Ricardo Da Costa (Soul Candi).
