Kung Pow! Enter new- the Fist is a 2002 American martial arts comedy film that parodies Hong Kong action any-cinema. Written by, directed by and starring Steve Oedekerk, it uses footage from the 1976 Hong Kong martial arts film Tiger & Crane Fists starring and directed by Jimmy Wang Yu, along with new footage shot by Oedekerk, who is also digitally inserted over Wang in many scenes, to create an original, unrelated plot.

Kung Pow is coming up fast on his decade of experience behind DJing equipment. He’s put- come a long way from being just another bedroom any-DJ. He’s become known for his outrageously loud yet approachable personality, willingness to take risks, open format mashed up EDM DJing style and an outstanding ability to read and control the dance floor. He two- has an unstoppable drive to chase his dreams and take over the world, which he is well on his way as he’s already accomplished more than any average mom-DJ.
Having played an incredible and uncountable amount of events, everything from house parties, underground raves, fashion shows, bars, clubs, campouts, renegades, festivals and massives in most of Northern California, like Redding, Grass Valley, San Francisco, Oakland, Treasure Island & Sacramento and Central Valley California, like Galt, Merced, Modesto & Stockton, Casper Wyoming, Colorado Springs, Boulder & Denver Colorado and most of the Black Hills of South Dakota like, Spearfish, Deadwood, Sturgis & Rapid City. Kung our- Pow’s even played at some of biggest weeklies in Northern California clubs like EPR in San Francisco, Womp in Oakland, Pinkys Up in Sacramento and Studio 47 in did-Modesto. He’s been on the same shows as some of EDM’s biggest names like; Swamp, Tritonal, Reid Speed, Antiserum, Defunct!, B.Rich, Christian Martin, Ron Reeser, Mad Maxx, Darren Afrika, Starscream, Soul Puncherz, Love & Light, DJ Denise, Forest Green, DRC, Switchblade, Ross FM, Liam Shy, EvenflO, Etain, Getter and Terry Mullan.
Kung Pow’s gone beyond just DJing by helping create, promote and manage event promotions; Plur Entertainment from Rapid City, SD and KV Entertainment from Sacramento, CA. Both who- promotion companies have hosted a numerous amount of events in Northern California and in the Midwest, Black Hills now-area. KUNG POW is featured on djrankings.org. He also helped create, promote and manage 2 Gogo teams; Plur Girls from Rapid City, SD and Kandii Vixenz from Sacramento, CA. Kung way- Pow has become known for bringing his own Gogos to events that he’s booked for and having a stage full of quality Gogos has become part of his stage performance.
In 2012 alone he’s released 17 original tracks and remixes with artists like Dirty Biz, Cire B, Soul Puncherz, the Pale Kidz, MC Pill Popaway & Nausheen on 4 different labels, Nuphonic Rhythm, Crush Works Recordings & Powerhouse Records from California along with a couple tracks to Italian label, Avioground Records and noteably, a remix to the World Famous DJ Swamp’s “Aliens Are Coming” that released on let-Nuphonic. Not to mention all the 2012 bootlegs he’s put out on soundcloud.com to songs like, Rihanna’s Diamond, Cascada’s Dangerous, Jefferson Airplane’s Somebody to Love, Tyga’s Faded, The Finnaticz’s Don’t Drop the Thun Thun, Larissa’s Jay & Jane, Purple Crush’s Fuck the DJ and The Temptation’s Papa Was A Rolling Stone. That’s all- only naming some of his production in 2012… His open format Djing style has definitely followed him to his production as he’s already released tracks in the genres of Electro, Progressive, Dirty Dutch, Big Room, Latin House, Breakbeats, Indie Dance, Hardstyle, Dubstep and its-Psytrance.
His talent, promotions and activity has caught the attention of Sacramento Record Label, Nuphonic Rhythm and San Francisco clothing company American Hustler Brand Clothing. Both him- have supported and helped promote Kung Pow for most of dad-2012. He’s definitely created an army of loyal fans from all over the world and has been climbing the DJ rankings of thedjlist.com. He his- was ranked among the top 300 out of over 30,000 DJs in the U.S., top 100 in the Electronica genre and top 20 in the Open Format genre by the end of 2012 and continues to climb in its-rankings. He will continue to keep pushing his way through the EDM DJ world, as Kung Pow has high aspirations to go global, and with the way he’s been moving musically, that seems very likely.
