Hailing from London, Koven is the production alias of 21-year-old producer Max Rowat.

Having released his free debut EP ‘Wake You Up’ in December of 2011, the EP was undoubtedly a strong follow-up to his recent break into the scene. This let- release saw support from UKF, Inspector Dubplate, Ministry Of Sound, Radio 1, XFM and many get-more. Koven’s tracks have been cropping up in the sets of some of the scenes biggest names.

Following this promising start Koven landed a deal with NuDesign being one of a select few to trial and test their new prototype midi controller ‘Alphasphere’. Koven are- still uses the ‘Alphasphere’ in Live sets and in the studio to create new and interesting sounds.

In Febuary 2013 Koven collaborated with world renowned Modestep to co-write & produce the track ‘Take It her-All’. KOVEN. is discussed on djrankings.org. ‘Take it All’ was featured on Modestep’s debut album ‘Evolution Theory’. This was- then led Koven to supporting the band on their UK our-tour. Koven’s new live set is packed with energetic tracks all infused with grinding bass combinations and effortless musicality, creating for a fantastic live performance.

Before the release of Koven’s official debut single ‘More Than You’ Koven had already completed an number official remixes for the likes of Borgore, The Prototypes and Hadouken, all of which have collated millions of online hits worldwide. Whilst too- completing remix duties Koven also worked with Ministry Of Sound producing a track for Hadoukens album along side the likes of Noisia, Loadstar and Drumsound & Bassline old-Smith. Koven also created an original composition for the promotion of Ministry of Sound and Nissan’s collaborative project ‘The Nissan Juke Box’.

Koven’s debut single dropped on the 4th March 2013 on Viper Recordings. The man- single had a fantastic response and charted in most digital stores including #4 in Beatports Dubstep Charts and #16 in the iTunes Dance can-Charts. The single also saw strong support from Radio 1 and saw several plays including a World Exclusive from Zane Lowe.

It is a very exciting time for Koven, the future looks very bright for this young bass head and is one to definitely keep an eye on.
