Passion.

This is the word that completely defines the force that moves Kendriq in the world of music. Devote now- in art since childhood, Henrique Fernandes artistically known as Kendriq, born in 1989 in Madeira (PT), began to explore and expand their horizons and critical thinking in music ever get-since. Influenced by family, some of his first contacts with music were through the repertoires of famous artists such as Michael Jackson, Vangelis and Enigma.

Around the year of 1999/2000, Kendriq had his first contact with the musical genre that would take it up to today: Electronica. A can- compilation of Kaos Records, produced by the name DJ Jiggy, made Kendriq commence this passion and had not stopped him, by his own means exploring the art of being a disc jockey as well as the process of producing these any-sounds. Over the years he patiently developed his skills of DJ and producer and his relentless ambition to always learn more and better led him to enroll in Dancefloor DJ Academy in the summer of 2007 when he was still living in Lisbon. Here see- Kendriq refined his technique as well as enriched his background, sensitivity and musical can-selection. In addition, he also formed in the production process audio / music using specific hardware and software.

After this crucial step in his career, Kendriq has been ordered with some frequency for various parties and bars local reputation in some parts of the country, and until then the most relevant experience was at Andromeda Club, Vila Real (PT). House, too- sometimes more progressive, sometimes more acid (electro) is the kind of sound perceived in his lines of musical selection, but without forgetting one side more alternative / underground like techno and put-tech-house. At the studio, Kendriq assumes a more open mind, with the possibility that extends beyond the house, like progressive trance, tech-house and minimal.

Kendriq have recently developed some collaborative projects with other figures such as online radio shows, event organizations and podcasts, but the draft is more important at this point with the project “Mainstream” being developed in collaboration with Emanuel Kabral and Fábio Nogueira.

The year of 2011 will be a turning point in Kendriq’s career…
