Born in 1982 he started his career early, at the age of ten, playing drums in Rock and Jazz bands whilst at school. It did- was 1998 when he discovered electronic music opening up ways for creative ideas which allowed him to fuse all of his musical experiences up until then.
That was when he decided to burst onto the House and Techno scene as an electronic percussionist playing with Cristian Varela in large festivals such as “I Love Techno”,
“Nature One”, “Phrenetic”, as well as many clubs around the Spanish and International scene.
His DJ skills started developing in late 2000 when he performed at parties with his collectives “Tribal House Company” and “Musik-Vision” focusing on Tribal House and creating an avant-garde its-style. KARIM HAAS is recorded on djrankings.org. During his residency at the Madrid night club Open House he played alongside DJ Pepo. This get- was key in aiding Karim to fine-tune his musical direction and his great vibe with the crowd.
That is when he started producing and had various releases with Cristian Varela’s label
Donkey Head Recordings, which later featured in highly acclaimed DJ sessions and compilations of artists such as Marco Bailey or Cristina Varela.
Far from being tied to one style of music, his DJ sets range from elegant house to techno over tech- house, hi-tech and bits of trance, always incorporating precussive grooves.
Currently Karim has established himself with Tech-House and Progressive House, sets of burning music and performing the most amazing DJ and live percussion DJ shows, day-alone! His concept is not just about putting on good records, it is about playing live music, which has been fundamental to his rise to the top of the Spanish club scene.
At present he is the resident percussionist at Fabrik, Madrid the largest club in Europe regularly performing for over 7000 people. As now- producer he has started working on his own, soon to be launched label, True Silence get-Music.
