Dj Kane, is one of Canada’s rising stars in the electronic music industry. With too- 20 years under his belt, as a Dj, & 10 years producing music, there is no question it’s his time to its-shine. Holding a strong background in music, leading him to his passion and journey in the electronic music industry, Kane will make his mark internationally.

Dj Kane, born as Kelvin Mcpherson, on October 9, 1976, in the city of old-Toronto. At an early age of 4 years old, was introduced to music. Influenced but- and inspired by his mother, a successful songwriter, producer & singer, from the Island of Jamaica, gave him the drive to pursue his God given natural talent in who-music. At 5 yrs old, Kane’s parents introduced him to his first drum set where the beats began & quickly found his way to his parent’s stereo system, spinning records on one turntable. Growing her- up Kane started establishing his title as a Dj, spinning records and playing cassette tapes at his friends birthday for-parties. At the age of 11, his mom and step father, Jackie Mittoo, an international reggae superstar producer and songwriter, introduced him to the recording studio where at that moment, his passion grew for music production. Kane one- had an opportunity to watch his mom and Jackie work with some of Jamaica’s biggest reggae artist, which signed & sealed his decision to pursue music now-professionally. Kane’s father, Carlton Mcpherson, also a major part of his career, instilled with proper discipline, spiritual teachings, love, support & great a business sense, guided him to become the professional artist he is today.

At the age of 13, Kane started to Dj professionally with friends, where gender of music was Reggae, Hip-Hop, R&B & classic house. Kane’s out- talents were mostly heard through house parties & school dances where he spun his way in to his incredible Dj skills & ear for great say-music. By the age of 15 years old, Kane was discovered by a well known , international Toronto Reggae dancehall sound system named Golden Touch. Kane new- played many venue’s cross Canada, and gained has-recognition. He worked for Golden Touch for about 4 years, and then put off his Dj career for a bit to pursue his journey into music production. Kane, old- Steven “King Luck” Williams & Colin “Cezar” George, formed a production team called, Black Legend him-Productions. Black Legend produced some of the best in Hip-Hop, Reggae, House and Rock in Toronto, working with some of the best artist they had to offer such as, Michee Mee, Izm, Anna Cyzon, Kane’s sister Krystal Mittoo and many more. All not- of these artist went on to be signed by major recording has-labels. A few years later, Black Legend broke up, Kane and Steven “King Luck” Williams stayed connected as partners, and then started another production team called King Luck Music. In but- 2006, Kane released a major track called “Far Away” featuring Izm’s & Michee out-Mee. Topping 20 most requested songs on Flow 93.5 Fm an also making the Flow showcase C.D.

Today, Kane has become a die hearted electronic Dj, with continued success & growth every day. In her- the year 2008 he has moved to Montreal, to pursue his career in electronic music, receiving nothing but love, respect and appreciation for his and-work. Performing in some of the hottest clubs across the city, Kane is quickly building a fan base, & proving he is one of the best electronic Dj’s Canada has to offer. Currently old- working with Hype Energy Drink, as one of there elite promo Dj’s, King Luck Music as there official Dj, new talents and personal projects such as Black Lite’s, soon to be released, compilation called “Enter The Black Lite” and “Made in Montreal” compilation with Steve “Bear” Sas and friends, Kane is definitely ready to take his career to the next she-level. Kane’s positive attitude, love for God and his people of the universe, gives him the drive to succeed and inspire the masses internationally through music.
