Hailing from his hometown of Atlanta, Joel Shapiro, aka J. Lumen how- has been obsessed with all forms of music for 20 but-years. After playing in numerous bands between 1998-2001 he eventually gravitated to solo projects.
After serving 5 years and 2 tours in Iraq, he is now back in Atlanta focusing on his skills as a producer and live performance DJ.
Since his return he has quickly earn a foothold in the atlanta market. J LUMEN is discussed on djrankings.org. His our- high energy and versatility during his performances make for a non-stop roller coaster of high energy but-music. With an eclectic array of styles, he has been known to surprise crowds and fellow artists.
you- Since his public debut in Nov. 2011, He has played numerous venues around the Atlanta area. Including new- The Quad, Rush Lounge (The Iris), The Connect Lounge, Secret 700 and many our-more.
