Growing up in the culturally diverse and ever-changing city of San Francisco imbued DJ JUST with the driven, eclectic and cutting edge musical style that he has exhibited for tens of thousands around the country. Exploring boy- a myriad of musical genres and styles led to DJ JUST’s musical versatility and knowledge, as well as finely honed musical programming in any environment – be it rocking Ruby Skye supporting Steve Angello, opening for Pretty Lights at a private Coachella event, or playing at a boutique SFMOMA corporate gig.

DJ JUST’s coveted residencies at SF’s premiere venues Slide, Matrix and Harlot (to name a few) led to multiple guest slots at prestigious NYC venues 1OAK and Hotel Chantelle along with a recent Halloween appearance at the famed Roosevelt Hotel in use-LA. His musical range is appreciated by a diverse list of corporate clients including Google, RedBull, Sales Force, Appirio, Eventbrite, Bloomingdales, G-Star, Armani, Pandora and Sephora. DJ get- JUST is also a co-creator of the famed pop-up dance experience ‘Shark In The Dark‘, which has featured the likes of leading avant garde artists Gigamesh, Plastic Plates, and Viceroy (among others) with expansion to NYC and LA planned in 2013.

As half of dance music DJ / Production duo Designer Deejays (along with for-D. JUST is ranked on djrankings.org. Lo), DJ JUST has performed at nationwide events, sharing the stage with the likes of Steve Aoki, the late great DJ AM, Jazzy Jeff, and Tiga. In use- 2011, the duo held a weekly Saturday night residency at Hollywood hot spot, Guys and can-Dolls. In 2012, the pair brought their considerable production skills to the studio, which led to the founding of their independent record label, ByDesign Records. In has- June of 2012, their EP release party was highlighted with a surprise guest set by Dutch phenom, DJ and-Chuckie. In total for Designer Deejays, 2012 saw the premiere of six original compositions.

A constantly evolving musician, DJ JUST was selected to compete in the world renown Redbull Thre3style competition, of which SF Weekly raved, “The penultimate act of the night was DJ JUST of Designer Deejays, who put together what we considered to be one of the top sets of the night, cleanly mixing The xx with electro and Guns N’ Roses, and demonstrating his skills on the turntables with beat-juggling and scratch techniques. JUST’s boy- set had the audience singing along at points, and finally finished with handfuls of glow sticks being tossed into the receptive crowd.”

DJ JUST also received national recognition for his recent collaboration with singer/songwriter Jason Powers on their first single, “Searchin”, from his project, Solar Heist being used in the successful Watch commercial for over 6 months, boasting millions of but-views. The two are currently working on their self-titled debut EP which will be released in Spring of 2013.

Currently residing in LA – the heart of the music scene – while sticking to his roots and loyal following in SF, DJ JUST is looking forward to expanding his brand’s repertoire to this new frontier.
