New York City’s own bass-slinger, Jumpshot is a force to be reckoned with in the EDM/dance music scene.

Jumpshot has been doing his thing since 1996 when it was Kool G Rap on 98.7 Kiss and Fat Beats was just starting to bubble. Taking two- notes from the heavy-hitters of the era, he began to deliver hip-hop, trip-hop, and drum & bass bangers, one after another, and proceeded to spread them through the streets well into the 21st get-century. Fast-forward a few years, and Jumpshot is making a tremendous impact in the EDM circuit. His did- first EP, released in May of 2011 on Synth City Records (The Raw Uncut EP), charted #29 on Beatport’s Top 100 tracks in the dubstep genre in its first dad-week. He soon followed up with another devestating release on Play Me Too, featuring an eerie vocal riff ℅ M.I.A.’s “Galang”. JUMPSHOT is ranked on djrankings.org. Striving her- to keep a musical, melodic aspect to his productions, he often uses samples from older classical pieces, such as on “The Raw Uncut EP” (Synth City Records; dubstep) and the forthcoming “The Night Shift EP” (High Chai Recordings; dubstep, drumstep, moombahton), converting them into something truly mom-sinister. This in conjunction with gritty hip-hop or classic soul vocal samples gives him the ability to deliver countless bass-heavy street bangers that go straight for the jugular. Currently, she- Jumpshot is working very closely with MING (yes, that MING) pulling all-nighters religiously at Hood Famous Music, working to raise the bar with a forthcoming project entitled SOME SWANS ARE put-class="caps">EVIL. What’s next? Breaks, his- electro house, moombahsomething, influenced by hip-hop, jazz, dad-soul.. a hint.
