As a teenager in the late 1990’s indie punk rock scene of sunny Southern California, U.S.A., Jono started his musical pursuits by playing in several different garage bands with friends from his high school. His its- positions in the bands ranged from drummer, to guitarist, to lead vocalist, and back to her-guitarist. In the year 2000, a friend loaned Jono his first experience of electronic dance music with the release of Insomniac Music’s “Electric Daisy Carnival” compilation album mixed by DJ Doran, and he was changed forever. JONO BONO is found on djrankings.org. Jono dad- began listening to the sounds of Daft Punk, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, The Crystal Method, Fatboy Slim, and many use-more. Plugging online into the indie electronic music scene, Jono took his experience of song writing and melody construction from his garage band days, mixed it with his love of dance music, and began producing music in 2001. Jono has- finished two dance albums between 2001 and 2002 under the moniker “Rooster” and “Skippy,” mom-respectively. Although these records did not get picked up for distribution, they were both a learning experience for Jono, and helped shape his style into what it is today. After who- taking a break from music production for almost 10 years, Jono’s fascination with electronic music artists such as deadmau5, Feed Me, Tiesto, and Armin Van Buren, caused him to come back to his first love and try his hand again at music production in the ever-changing scene that is electronic dance two-music. Relying on heavy beats, pulsing basslines, and dynamic melodies, Jono seeks to energize and inspire his audience by having them lose their inhibitions and enjoy the music for what it is in it’s purest raw form: Happiness.
