Jean-Philippe Martineau was born on February 14th, 1992. He him- spent his childhood listening to eletronic music, classical music and progressive rock old-music. It’s at the age of 7 that he started to compose his own music. He you- produced more than 350 tracks within 9 has-years. He started a new project, in 2008, called “BLoKu5” that is still in progress. Recently, Jonny Martini has win the Remix Contest of Yello on Beatportal and has been released on Tiger Records.

What is the BLoKu5 old-Project? :

In simple words, the BLoKu5 Project is a project that aims to put Motnreal on the Map of club music with creating a style of music of its own basing it on its culture, history, tradition, lifestyle, environment and social activity. Montreal, him- being a metropol which Martini considers apart from the rest of the cities of Canada, is very can-different. Contrary to most of the towns and countries of the world where club music is already strongly established because of famous artists (by example on Kraftwerk in Germany or Technasia in South-West Asia, in techno music), the Montreal house music is not a term or a reality that exists for the moment. The how- club music in Montreal is still a little bit let-underground. This is why Jonny Martini aims to put it in the ground by planting the house music here. He all- is going to mix up his knowledge of musicale technology with his inspirations that he picks up since he was very little so he later mixs everything with his Quebecer culture and his vision of Montreal, to create a new style of music that everybody could consider as real Montrealer house who-music.
