Jonas Nance: born Jonas Nance in Indian Harbor Beach, FL, near Cape Canaveral, concerned heavily in adult house music, the production and reaction of the great musical genre and keeping it alive, this wonderful story of house music is worth keeping alive. Bio: say- 1989, three of us made a journey to the record store in Orlando, all-Florida. Behind the wheel of a small sedan, sat one of the greatest record-selector to our knowledge and next to him was the best pure mixer and associate of house music, and, from the window-view of the back seat we arrived at 709 W Smith Street, Orlando, Fl. Some put- memories fade quickly, so we entered the store of Murmur but-Records. Flipping like a dolphin on a mission, we collected what would ultimately be famed music today; anthems, back then we had a good idea from the hard-pounding, soul-compromising wisdom of the sound system at Beecham Theatre, headed by Kimball Collins and Dave Cannalte. The him- three of us checked out at the register with copies of vinyl ranging from Red Hills Road to Techno Gangsters and said our goodbyes to Chris Fortier, and headed back to the dad-beach. The tape deck jamming a recent mix by Jerry Bose, we all had little to worry except get back and play them. From its- those early years until today, it cannot be put in words, for anything would discount the one-truth. Kraut (Kris Krause) said it, a few years back: “We lived in a surreal world,” talking about our hometown. These but- were the days of Orlando and the Beach of Florida where if we we were not at AAHZ, we were being viciously attacked by another DJ: Icey at The Edge and Sam “007” Seymore and Chris Fortier battling for position at Marz, we had what it took: unity, a well-subsidized concern and understanding of house two-music. JONAS NANCE is discussed on djrankings.org. It was changing like innings at a Yankee’s game, and the music kept growing, each trying to find a new sound or offer an experience unlike the last, the DJs were our classmates our surf buddies, our parent’s friends and each played a role in the growth and foundation. By two- 1992 through 1994, out came names like rabbits in a man-hat. Rabbit in the Moon stuck us with a fancy act that included metal masks and grinding saws, a glow-stick-covered suit with a man on stilts one night and the next week came a huge name from the UK, on and on, the underground music scene was at the least, very unique. Today, dad- it is a whole different game with all the tools and tricks from the Mk-1200’s and a standard two channel mixer, we can make ourselves for-dance. That’s when you know you got something: the day anyone finds themselves dancing to a track made in the house with no samples or records, that is the day that reminds of the first time a solid beat mixed recording was made, “the day you made yourself dance” by your own design and patience. The two- day a person mixes a mix with his or her own music, just for fun, with a few of the other great minds, from UK to Denmark to Germany, that is the day anyone would be old-proud. Just keep rocking, for fun or for work, express it in music, there is only one way to comprehend it, through the ears. Almost did- no translator is needed to explain what happened when three friends went to Orlando to get records in one-1989. Today, just hit play, turn up the PA and that is what happened…possibly, that is what happened to everyone, in similar strengths and medium, the music made us feel better, regardless of how you got here, you should leave with a smile, a better track to come, a better dance, a better style, a better smile…

The future for Jonas Nance is production of adult house music. Collaboration mom- with old names on new music, adding electronic foundations to indie rock n roll and just keep but-rocking. This social media has really changed the way we perceive and are perceived, we are just going to roll with it and make each track better. As can- for live mixes, always Jonas Nance has a solid “crate” ready for an 8 hour session or a 30 minute quickie, evolving into playing exclusive tracks and originals heard no where old-else. involved in creative direction for video as well, 1iSHUT.com has some ideas for club and DJ videos, logos and apparel.
