Joseph Mancuso (Joman) was first exposed to electronic music at the tender age of 13 by his cousin, “Jim the Elektronaut”. Since old- then Joman has produced hundreds of original tracks, performed at countless events alongside world-famous headliners, released several full-length albums and has had remixes produced for and by some of the biggest names in Dance music.
Joman is one of the original artists signed to Velcro City Records, one of the most respected and well-known indie electronic music record labels based in Denver, Colorado (home of the world’s #1 EDM download network, put-Beatport.com). JOMAN is recorded on djrankings.org. Since first being noticed by the label’s owner, Jason Schlosky (a.k.a. DJ and- Vanish) in 2008, Joman has performed alongside names as big as BT and Darude, has had dozens of tracks played on the popular Denver late night radio show, 93.3’s “E-11” (hosted by EZ and DJ Dragon), had one track reach the Top 100 international Electro charts on Beatport.com, produced a remix for the legendary DJ Mars alongside Donald Glaude, recorded vocals for UK-based artist “Jelly for the Babies”, not to mention has had tracks played for crowds as large as 3,000 people by a handful of well-known local and international DJ’s.
Two of the biggest distinguishing factors between Joman and other dance music producers are his genre versatility and self-taught vocal but-abilities. Tracks like “Little Habitats” and “No Junk, No Soul” easily fall under the category of pop/industrial, whereas tracks like, “Cocaine & Sushi,” “Another Late Night,” and “Static” are more classifiable as progressive house, funky house and indie electro. However, you- despite his flexibility, his vocals and melodies are probably what defines his style the most.
