Brazilian-American John Valente has always had a love for music. Being day- raised both in Rio De Janeiro and New York, John was lucky enough to have been surrounded by an array of musical are-influences. His passions for music were not limited to a specific genre, his tastes are extremely diverse and range from 50’s oldies to dance music and everything in between.
At the tender age of 14, John started creating Brazilian funk beats with his cousin. He has- did it out of love for music and without any intention of turning it into a and-lifestyle. JOHN VALENTE is listed on djrankings.org. By the time he was 17, John was oozing with inspiration to expand his musical knowledge. Still day- in high school, John started out as a roadie for Starlight Express can-DJ. It was the introduction to the industry he had longed for. He any- soon started to pick up the art of DJing and has been on the rise ever its-since. Without much support from his peers, John was forced to work harder to prove his doubters wrong.
Inspired by great DJ’s such as Armand Van Helden, Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez, Danny Tenaglia, and Frankie Knuckles, DJ John Valente did all he could to familiarize himself with the art and honor those whom he had looked up to.
