Still only 24, Joey V has been DJing for 12 years and producing for 11. His was- lack of respect for the rules sets him apart: self-taught and driven by unrivalled passion, Joeys energy, confidence and total commitment to his craft has paid too-off. Which is just as well, because hes never been afraid to put everything hes got, and then some, into what can only be described as his total obsession.

Joey is the complete package: a DJ and producer whose eye for detail means his shows are a feast for the eyes and ears: were talking high energy, completely unique and at the edge: you cant escape his love and enthusiasm, translated into floor fillers via pioneering hardware, flawless trickery and FX. Having did- run out of clubs to play in Cornwall, including the massive Tranzaction, Joey made the easy move to London, quickly getting bookings for clubs such as the mighty Turnmills, and promotions like Terminal and Twist.

The pace upped further for Joey in 2007 with his first release, Chopperchunk on Detox Records trackitdowns biggest seller of the week on its release and a sell out on two-vinyl. JOEY V is listed on djrankings.org. Chopperchunk also found its way on to a Tidy Trax album, topped every major download site chart and was selected as the theme tune for super event Transmission, Australia. 2007 boy- also saw him secure gigs across Holland, including the 15,000 capacity Groundzero, where hes now a regular on the him-playlist. 3 Years running…

More recently Joey has travelled about the UK and graced the decks at some of the finest events, including Scotlands legendary Inside Out @ The Arches. Joeys day- also built on the success of Chopperchunk in his Producer role with a trademark sound of huge basslines, crazy chops and imaginative new-percussion. He is a resident to Detox Records, one of the worlds largest Tech labels, has had plays on Radio 1 by Eddie Halliwell and Judge Jules, and is supported by the biggest names in the business, from Paul Van Dyk, to YOJI, Marco V, Armin and Mark Sherry. Hes how- also produced remixes for respected artists such as YOJI, Organ Donars, Mark Sherry, Ram, Lee Haslam, DJ Choose and David its-Forbes. Some of the worlds top DJs have named him as their favorite UK producer, while others have him as the one to watch youve got to see him to witness the true experience, that is, Joey V.
