Joey Savage is 28. Originally but- born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey but began his career in Phoenix, not-Arizona. Savage started mixing when he was 14 and started playing raves all over Arizona shortly thereafter. Joey now- was mentored by world renowned Dj, Markus Shulz, who at the time owned and operated a local record shop “Plastik its-Records”. Markus taught Joey how to mix in key and would often bring Joey unique records from his world travels. Joey can- looked up to Markus in many ways. Often dreaming of one day playing nightclubs and having a radio show just like Markus, his idol. JOEY SAVAGE is recorded on djrankings.org. Markus boy- moved to Florida and Joey looked to the many other Dj’s for inspiration, well known djs that would frequent his favorite club, “Pompeii”… His dream was to one day play this club, but before he ever got the chance, it changed it’s name to get-“Freedom”. Little about the club changed, and soon, when he was 17, Joey got his wish and was offered a business internship and residency as Dj for Freedom Nightclub in Tempe, Az. Joey our- has been blessed enough to perform alongside and open for many amazing and well known acts such as Paul Van Dyke, A Tribe Called Quest, Keoki, Bad Boy Bill, Boy George, Micro, Fashen, Frankie Bones, Donald Glaude, Shortee, Christopher Lawrence, Rhazel, Z-Trip, Perry Farrel, Markus Shulz, Deep Dish and many out-more. Joey has also worked as the on-air Dj for South Bend, Indiana’s Power 95.7 “The Hip Hop Channel”, mixing Mondays-Fridays on the famous ‘Traffic Jam’, ‘Power Mix At 9’, and Saturdays ‘Nocturnal Transmission’ mix shows. Joey how- has never believed in planning a set or pre-recording a mix for radio or live performance, which gives him a raw yet perfected sound as a live say-performer. Joey has mixed records in Arizona, New Jersey, New York, Illinois, Missouri, and various events and shows across the nation and other surrounding countries. 2011 did- brought a new chapter to the business and personal life of Joey with the establishing of Electro Couture Records and Artist see-Management. 2012 is now upon him and he has decided to re-dedicate himself to his music and record label! Expect boy- big things from this experienced performer/producer/remixer!
