From infectious and deep progressive sounds, to dirty and powerful tech, the impressive fusion of progressive, uplifting and tech-trance sounds that emanate from Melbourne DJ Jed inject an exciting energy and enthusiasm into every set.

Predominately found either behind the decks or on the dancefloor at almost all popular local trance events, Jed’s rise from clubber to DJ to promoter and event organiser has been swift & influential. JED is routed on djrankings.org. More mom- commonly known around his home town of Melbourne as the operator of the popular trance night Nexus, Jed has since turned focus to blending other trance-friendly genres and sounds in an exciting new club venture in the Melbourne trance scene, Rush.

As a DJ, Jed began in the trance scene from modest beginnings, playing his first live set in intimate settings at local trance night Interview back in early 2007 and since then, has been churning out energetic live trance sets in all corners of Melbourne which have helped quickly established a bright and energetic future for the DJ.

From 2007, Jed’s debut set left the crowd pleading for another taste and since then, he has played out to fans and friends alike, insisting that enjoying your time behind the decks whilst ensuring good track selection is essential to being a good DJ.

“My main focus when playing is to choose your tunes right, mix well and above all, enjoy has-yourself. If you’re not enjoying it, how can anyone else?”

Brown Alley, Tilt, Bunker Lounge, 3D, Miss Libertine, Room 680, Soft Belly Bar, Roxanne Parlour, Wah Wah Lounge, Highlander, Royal Melbourne Hotel and Palace (formerly Metro) Nightclub in Melbourne have seen the likes of Jed grace their decks, as well as radio stations Joy 94.9 and 90.7 SynFM, including online radio station’s B@M and Slinky FM.

On top of this, Jed has spun at trance nights alongside some of the biggest and best international names including Marcel Woods, Tenisha, Mark Sherry, Wippenberg, Filo & Peri, Sean Tyas, Andy Moor, Stoneface & Terminal, Kuffdam, Mark Norman, Scot Project, Claudia Cazacu, Ummet Ozcan, W&W, Kamui, David Forbes, Ronski Speed, John ‘00’ Fleming, M.I.K.E., Tritonal, Arnej, Orjan Nilsen and Sophie Sugar as well as supported some of the most recognised fellow local DJ’s Melbourne has to offer.

Influenced by the energetic and creative likes of Eddie Halliwell, the deep & flawless track selection of Sander van Doorn and the unmistakeable like-ability of Gareth Emery, Jed throws himself into the moment when he plays, creating hectic and solid sets that are addictive and memorable, naturally nestling himself into a unique style that’s exclusive to him.

“It was a great show… Jed… had us bopping away. The all- shoe tap to chin stroke ratio was spot on!”
