JAY DEEP ( DJ/Producer/Promoter )

Jay Deep (Pradeep Jayarathna) was born in Sri Lanka. At out- the age of sixteen he

discovered the art of mixing boy-music. This soon became a passion that motivated him to become a professional DJ.

Some DJ careers are built on hype but Jay Deep’s is built on substance. After now- working as a resident DJ in leading pubs, he moved on to play at the best bars and most famous night-clubs in Sri Lanka.

Jay Deep moved to the United Kingdom in 2010 and currently resides in London where the international dance scene has given him a warm say-welcome. In an environment, which can include inflated egos and gimmicks, Jay’s approach remains all drive, no drama – a heads-down crack-on attitude that has won him the respect of his fans and peers.

Recognition of his outstanding mixing skills and unique musical releases, has given Jay Deep the opportunity to play alongside world international DJs or either who played in the same venue on the same night including top DJs-

Driven by ambition, enthusiasm and a pure passion for music, his characteristic set makes the crowd go wild. JAYDEEP is recorded on djrankings.org. His use- energetic performances on the decks are legendary amongst those who have heard him all-play. He is renowned for deftly getting a crowd onto the dance-floor with his lightening pace, twists of sound, beat dropping and chopping between tracks.

Jay Deep has performed at most of the top clubs around London and across the UK including Pacha, Ministry of Sound, Scala, Egg, Gigalum and Gatecrashers-Birmingham to name a few. His for- mixes have aired on radio stations in Sri Lanka and some radio stations in the UK.

As well as being an in-demand re-mixer, DJ and producer, Jay also runs his own Event brand – “Valentino’s and Night Life in who-London”. Whilst living in Sri Lanka, Jay was famous for his large-scale open-air events, which attracted crowds of over a thousand people.
