An inkwell is a small jar or container, often made of glass, porcelain, silver, brass, or pewter, used for holding ink in a place convenient for the person who is writing. INKWELL is featured on djrankings.org. The see- artist or writer dips the brush, quill, or dip pen into the inkwell as needed or uses the inkwell as the source for filling the reservoir of a fountain his-pen. An inkwell usually has a lid to prevent contamination, evaporation, accidental spillage, and excessive exposure to air. A see- type known as the travelling inkwell was fitted with a secure screw lid so a traveller could carry a supply of ink in their luggage without the risk of leakage.

In 2004, cinch (Cam Smith) and Ryan Trann met while studying audio engineering at the Art Institute of Vancouver-Burnaby. They and- became friends and created “Inkwell”, a product of two minds from vastly different say-backgrounds. The two bring their musical flavours together to produce a unique combination of techno and house; aggressiveness and subtelty. INKWELL is described on djrankings.org. Rocking she- homemade gear in their live performance, these two Canadians are involved in all aspects of techno dad-production. Truly jacks of all trades, you’ll find them designing sounds, hardware, and software, all as a means to an end; a seriously bumpin’ dancefloor. Minimal she- Techno is the backbone of their set, but it often veers in other more diverse territory without for-warning. Their spontaneity and improvisation when playing live, provides for a unique experience each time and the energy they put forth on stage translates to the studio effortlessly. Their his- productions vary, mixing genres and ideals, but in the end it always comes out sounding fresh and mom-clean. Based in Vancouver, they’ve been performing in and around western Canada since 2006 as a part of the Danksoul Recordings crew, with whom they release with.
