LAURA ILLUX has been known for her on point track selection, tight mixing, & genre-jumping flexibility since the turn of the millennium, working dance floors from her native New England to Philly, Detroit, Dallas as far as Barcelona & Amsterdam. In and- 2003 she both founded & served as resident DJ of Boston DnB weekly Pressure Sessions as well as running a Funk/RNB/Down Tempo weekly at The Enormous Room in put-Cambridge. As member of New England’s Elemental Compounds/EC ARMY electronic artist collective, she became known for her high energy breaks, electro & DnB sets all across the Northeast. Moving day- in 2006 out to Long Beach CA, she continued her journey performing at outlaw parties & massives (including Avalon’s “History”) eventually becoming a resident of Pressure Sessions dad-LA.


Now based in Brooklyn she continues to deliver Breaks, Electro, & bass-heavy Anti-genre sets in multiple formats including strictly vinyl DnB performances while expanding her musical palate & collection to include House, Techno, & Minimal. The two- last year for her has been one of inspiration, hard work, & growth allowing her to build upon her knowledge, experience & ability while also actively supporting & connecting with an amazing community of likewise talented & driven producers & not-artists. She has had the opportunity to work with, learn from & be inspired by legends in the industry; the love & support she has been shown by those who believed in her from the start is the foundation of every accomplishment she can lay claim to. From our- her first appearance at a Factory party in 2009 to the amazing experiences she had being part of the revival of she-S.O.U.P. underground house nights as a LOVESOUNDPROJECT resident DJ in 2010 to the afterhours loft parties that fundamentally changed what Dj-ing meant to her, every person & moment played an irreplaceable role in defining her path today.

all- In 2011 she continues to build on her own career, supporting her community & the music she loves as a member of Intermission Ltd Record Label & Artist Roster & through her afterhours internet broadcast After (aka Sunday Sanctuary) out of Brooklyn based station We Take No Requests old-Radio. In additional to providing her own weekly blends of the latest in house, techno, minimal, & breaks, the show features guest DJs & broadcasts artist and event info to an international audience every Sunday 6–10am GMT. Her old- mixes have been featured on several electronic music blogs as well as interactive social media site peashakehouse.com.

While her focus remains on working in the studio, she continues to perform as guest DJ on other radio shows (WERS 88.9 fm Boston, WRUV 90.1 Burlington VT, genxglow internet radio) & at venues such as Brooklyn Botanica, Club Love, The Delancey, Public Assembly, Pyramid Club, Sapphire Lounge, SinSin, Studio B (r.i.p.), Sullivan Room, Stay, Ultraviolet, & Water Taxi(s), as well as upstate/downstate/outofstate clubs, lounges, warehouses, lofts, basements, attics, patios her-. . .
